    Newington Armory is a heritage-listed former Royal Australian Navy armament depot, now used for tourism purposes, at Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales, Australia.
    It was built from 1897 initially by the New South Wales Military Forces then by the Australian Army and later by the Royal Australian Navy.
    It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 14 January 2011.

    Sydney Olympic Park offers excellent behind the scenes tours Walking tours of the Old section That's mostly accessible you've seen mostly of this on the video. The older wharf section is mostly open to view But the rich history is bought to life on the tour and the new section mostly behind security fencing is Amazing.
    The battery train locomotive is expected to be back running 2025. The tracks we see where in the most part Horse drawn .
    No plans to bring the horse back.
    Like i said the Behind the Scenes Armory tour Is excellent, 3-4 hours each

    I was in a group called “ TOFS” ( Touring Old Farts” we spent a whole day here travelling on the railway and seeing all facilities

    a few years back they still ran small yellow trains on those rails. it was fun doing a large loop of the complex.

    All fully maintained and can be reactivated very quickly if required.

      Were you naval police , I patrolled the zetland navy supply depot

    This is 610mm hobby / sugar cane gauge and not QLD narrow gauge.
