In a small defense, Leon actually has 2 guns available through the game. You have to hit the handgun selection twice I think.

I played Resident Evil 6 on PS3 in 2013 for PS3 in a rented copy (when this was a thing) and replayed 6 years later on PC (Steam). Man, this game aged so horribly.
Saw this video in my suggestions and watched it to see your opinions on this game and it made it alot better that you have great working subtitles. I'm deaf and that really helps alot. I think everyone on TH-cam should do that.

1. If Leon dies to a regular zombie, the zombie will bend down and eat Leon, then (try) to look over their shoulder at the camera.
2. Old man in Leon's campaign has massive metal shutters, yet didn't use them until you kill all the zombie outside.

4. Shinji Mikami actually likes this one... for the references to the one hes actually worked on.
5. The hardcore fans that hate this game with a passion do forget that the games have been a action game with horror elements since RE4.
6. Jake is god damn Alice from the movies....
7. Piers shoots at Ada's feet to make her stop. The shrapnel from that action would have sliced her legs to ribbons.
8. Your partner for Ada (a mock up of Hunk from RE2) while playing co-op technically doesn't exist.
9. 35:31 - Chris was actually never involved with the Raccoon City events. His sister was. He was at Spencer manor on the outer city limits.

1. Leon has the option to dual-wield from the beginning. Though I'm not surprised you missed it. The game never says anything about it other than a small icon in your HUD.

Yeah, never once during the game did I know you could pull out a second gun. The game never told me that one. I've seen senpai spelled with both an 'n' and m. Even in a lot of the manga I read they sometimes spell it with an 'm'.
Yeah, stupid right? Your accuracy completely tanks too. I had to point it out to everyone else I knew who played it, who were wondering where the second pistol came from in the cut-scenes.
The "m" spelling is the common use state side because of a usual dialect misinterpretation that got unfortunately popularized by translators, so its not really a sin, just a grammar thing.
My vote is Murdered: Soul Suspect btw on the next one.

Actually, whenever "n" appears before syllables beginning with "m", "b" and "p", then it is pronounced as "m". Since the actual Japanese character isn't replaced by something else indicating the new pronunciation, translators can transliterated it as senpai and sempai.

Gonna just say this: As a survival horror game it sucks on so many levels, but as a Micheal Bay meets John Woo over the top action game it's pretty good. Flame me if you will

In the co-op mode for this, ada actually has a random agent to aid her for some reason. I still think it’s weird not to include someone from a past game or to just make up a different character
Even in brief cutscenes, like when ada would use her grappling hook for things, the Agent would appear right beside her. Capcom could've at least gave him a generic backstory like Sheva or something
I know this is a year old comment, but I wanted to add, the reason is that at launch Ada's campaign was single player, it was designed that way, the nameless partner/ coop functionality was added in a post launch update because of players feedback, since it was free it was donde in a budget type of implementation.

Neo-Umbrella is a bioterrorist organization, not a company, and Leon has dual guns throughout the entire game. You gotta tap the "special thing that this weapon does" button. Also, what's exploding is the cars aro-.. you know what, nevermind. I will say though, that Piers injected himself with the enhanced virus that was immune to Jake's antibodies.

17:28 To answer your question here, it depends on the means of infection. Primary infection (inhalation or ingestion) turns you into a "zombie". Secondary infection (injection or experimentation) creates ja'avo, or potentially _worse,_ like what happened to Finn and the rest of Chris' second team.

I've got to say, of all of Laura Bailey's voice roles I've heard, this goes down in my books as the most shallow character she's played.
Funny sins aside Chris did earn enough rep to be considered a legend for surviving and saving the day in Resident Evil 1, RE Revelations, RE:CX, RE Darkside Chronicles, and RE5. Problem I have is RE5 created this stupid trend of Chris struggling with survivor's guilt and no man left behind mentality when in numerous games before it he never exhibited it before. Even in RE5 there was no point because Jill was alive and even before that he was pretty okay with all the other BSAA agents being slaughtered numerous times. Sure you could say he developed it after years of seeing so much death but it shouldn't have been such a huge focus of his character because there's so much more they could've used.
2 yrs late but- while i know the movies are sort of unrelated- idk why they gave chris survivors guilt (out of no where) in this game and then have him get pissed at leon for the SAME THING in vendetta (when you can tell its been starting to wear on him)

I forget which movie it was, but there was a scene where hero’s trying to stop a supervillain standard story plot yada yada, but we get to the scene where they meet face to face, villain monologues his plan, and the hero’s respond with the “not if we stop you before you do it” which the villain responds with “I doubt you can, I triggered it half an hour before you arrived.” That’s like the ultimate villain “fuck you” right there.

I’m legitimately surprised that no one gets suspicious of Chris just killing his teammates because every time he gets a new team, he always is the last one to be alive. Which is more likely, he kills all of them and comes back home as a “hero” or he survives all those attack’s for like 5th time

Play as Leon, open the Weapons Inventory, select the Handgun and press Triangle. Voilá, double the fun!!
While this is true, the sin would be added right back for dual-wielding handguns in what used to be a survival horror series.

I played this game in 2013, Last week played it again and what I found is a ridiculously fun game that I'm still playing because the story is not complex and it has really cool cinematics. I love that, it's a game you can have fun and relax

In fairness, it was only Bravo team that bit the dust in RE1 - and the only member of Bravo team that Chris encounters makes it out alive. Of Chris' team, only Joseph dies. Chris deserves at least 9/10 for his RE1 efforts.
In Code Veronica Chris literally kills a giant worm just so the guard can live an extra 12 seconds, and snag that all-important lighter.
Chris doesn't have a body count trailing him until RE5... but anything post RE4 doesn't REALLY count, does it?

***** ...we don't mention that one, seriously it was so awful, crappy outdated controls, the worst ally AI I have ever seen, terrible inventory system, mostly rubbish enemies, and a last boss that was easy as hell, seriously wesker could've easily killed chris if he hadn't used uroboros, just run straight up to him and throw him in the lava, wesker not only slowed himself down, but also gave himself a weak point, the uroboros core. The battle against him before the plane scene was infinitely harder, though that was mostly due to the shit AI not doing what we needed it to do.

The President did not span out the 15 years of the Resident Evil timeline. The president in 98 who issued the attack in Raccoon City turned out to be a corrupt asshole. By the time RE4 came out there was a new President (Graham). And then there was this President in RE6 who got turned due to wanting to speak the truth about the Raccoon City incident

After you kill the giant fish in that one part with the caves, they magically teleport outside, which makes no sense considering not one time when they were in the cave they went up, only down.

All Helena had to do was tell Leon Simmons forced her to let him breach the President's security by holding her sister hostage and she was at Tall Oaks Cathedral.

You know maybe I’d actually care about what’s going on if you referenced a character we actually care about in this franchise that is close to Chris. Writing 101 to make me invested in your drama, don’t reference minor new characters who get like two lines and die later.
What would have made that line work? How about these suggestions:
“It’s a good thing Claire is not here to see you this way.”
“It’s a good thing Jill is not here to see you this way.”
“It’s a good thing Barry is not here to see you this way.”
“It’s a good thing Rebecca is not here to see you this way.”
You know, reference characters that actually have a history in this franchise and have a relationship with Chris that we care about.

Yeah RE5 sucked and Sheva was an underdeveloped character but at least she was Chris’s partner for a whole game and had more lines then some generic dude. But then again Capcom likes to ignore good things in the past or if something wasn’t that great in the past they proceed to ignore that it ever happened instead of trying to develop/improve/fix it.

Is it bad if i thought Jake was like a kid that created by wesker? I mean know it's kind of impossible but like my theory was that jake was somewhat of a clone of Steve from code veronica because of jake's hair color and looking nothing like wesker. Also the fact when wesker took steve's body he said "maybe he'll come back like me" (something along those lines) SO my theory was that wesker some how brought steve back to life but gave him a new name and steve has no memory of code veronica.Thus making Jake. But obviously that's not true. XD haha
I wonder about the final boss for Chris/Piers is they constantly said that that thing could infect the entire world in like a day. But during its fight with them it showed no way it could potentially infect anything, much less the world. All it did was smash things.
One sin that really annoyed me which is incredibly stupid, Chris and piers have been chasing the clone Ada the whole time, during chapter 4 they witness the real Ada for a brief moment with completely different clothes on then encounter the clone one shortly after with the other clothes back on, did that not occur to them even once that she switched wardrobes to a different outfit and then back into the clothes they saw her wearing in the 1st place. The same can be said for Leon aswell they witness the both of the adas in chapter 4 and didn't question once about the sudden wardrobe changes.
They've witnessed monsters mutating and beyond, a sudden clothes change isn't something that would really surprise them

Uhhh you forgot the fact that Wesker had DNA with endless Potential as one of the Wesker Children,so his son has at least some of that very DNA..so even if it's a completly new strain it is based from the old one to some degree. It is actually not that surprising his kid has the antibody to this one since his dad was literally impervious to all of them.
And do not even go to the Wesker was a mutant at the end when he died..while true he never once lost his sanity,that he never had lmao. Just a Godcomplex and he did stay in control apart from oldfashioned anger.

11:26 Dart probably hated the game so much doesn't know there's a function for you to dual-wield a pistol for Leon exclusively. Also the same button for dual-wield works as a secondary firing mode for some weapons.

S.T.A.R.S. and Alpha team in RE5 don't count because Chris didn't lead any of those teams, Wesker led and tricked S.T.A.R.S. into going into the Spencer mansion to gather combat data for Umbrella on their B.O.W.'s effectiveness, and Alpha team in RE5 was led by Captain Dechant, not Chris Redfield. Chris was a SOA (Special Operations Agent) in RE5 and prior and then he was promoted to SOU Captain (Special Operations Unit Captain) after the events of RE5 while also having the option to be an SOA for any of his missions. So the sin you gave Chris for losing 3 teams was false as he didn't lead S.T.A.R.S., he was just S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Teams point man/reconnaissance member as well as S.T.A.R.S. expert shooter.

It would add that much more devastating emotional depth and effect if Piers did, and snap Chris out of whatever bs he was in.

The only answer I have for the extra body mass thing is rapid cell generation. Cells rapidly generate adding mass, and then in Simon's case, cells rapidly destroy themselves causing the loss of mass. That's the only REASONABLE explanation I can come up with.

He wasnt this depressed after loosinf nearly his entire team of S.T.A.R.S because he wasnt the one in charge. It wasnt directly on him for their deaths.
Also he might have gotten depressed about it. Also, he knows sherry because of his sister claire, who is one of sherry's closest friends, it's even taked about how Claire would come and visit her while they were experimenting on her. And as for leon, he is also one of claire's best friends, as well as I am pretty sure leon and Chris met before. He would have no real reason to know anything about Ada who has been presumed dead for quite some time.
Also also, her healing factor is not an ex machina. And no the virus itself did not give her the ability to heal, the vaccine caused her body to adapt and the virus then mutated beneficially for her. The experiments that were done to her might have also played a hand in that. Same thing happened with jill valentine, the vaccine didn't remove the virus just caused it to go dormant, which then caused her body to adapt making her incredibly resistant to virtually all viruses.
