Used to watch my sister play this game when we were kids. She was one level away of beating it but then our console broke she never got to finish it. Years later we have this game available in the switch as part of the year membership. Sadly she passed away 6 years ago. I am currently playing it and will pass it in honor of those moments. R.I.P Rubi ♥️
I'm sorry about your sister!! I love this game, still never beat it either! Just bought DK2 last year , I don't think I ever played it back in the day either. Did you beat it yet?? I'm going to play it right now too!!
A masterpiece of a game. What people today forget is that back then, if you were stuck on a level or couldn't find those tokens there was no TH-cam or much Internet to help you out.
Don't wanna be the well actchually guy from Reddit, but back then they sold paperback walkthrough gyides you could back. In my SNES there came some advertisements about a Nintendo Hotline you could even call for help. The internet wasn't really there but phones and paper publications were.
Definitely a major childhood gem! My sisters were into Barbie and Dollhouses, I was into HotWheels and Legos. During a rainy day, this was the one thing we always agreed to play together on! Much love!
Such Nostalgia for this game! It's my favorite in the DKC Franchise! It's always fun to watch others play it and see what tricks they've learned. We're reliving this great game on our channel too. It's so much fun, and that soundtrack!
@@brandonsvideogamecorner7580 We haven't played it on our channel yet but I did play it growing up. I remember my dad buying the N64 banana controller sleeves they were promoting the game with.
Wooww. Very wonderful DKC2. This DKC2 the in 90's years the best game the DKC series.🙂👌👍 My childhood favourite SNES Games😍❤. I'm still playing with it. Thank you very much the upload😍
For me the music of these games is so ingrained in my memories of a simpler time, the joy of my children and our happy family. Those memories are enveloped in a golden light and warmth of happiness and love 💜🥰⭐️🤘🏽
Ah, DKC2 is my favorite Donkey Kong game. Sometimes my tastes and values change over time, but this game has always held up as the best one to me. The only thing I've ever nitpicked was I wish they put Glimmer in Animal Antics so that the full ensemble of animals would be there. I think they could have made a dark section of the ice/water area to fit him into. Of course, now that I think about it, the purple Squawks was not in that level either, so I guess Glimmer is not the odd man out after all. Edit: I just discovered Clapper was not in this level either. I guess I was confusing my memory of him in Clapper's Cavern.
Didnt know the last boos in this.... i only saved DK. and i thought game finished. After 28 years i learned that there is a final ending and this is our childhood. Never can bring it back of course but at least he have the memories form this era. Congrats to you mate for your precise gameplay. In my eyes you are the best in the game.
I miss nintendo LongPlays I used to watch this longplays when I was 5 years old and I played all those jewels on my playstation 2 to see how great they were ... #BackNintendoLongplays
It seems I've caught your channel in the midst of a comeback. Be sure to give us a DKC3 longplay to watch, preferably sooner rather than another 7 years!
I remember this video game fondly. I would watch my siblings play it and the other DK games when I was little. The SNES my family owned would still work for over a decade. I started playing the DK games myself when I was 11. Needless to say, the stop-motion holds up well, and the soundtrack has always been kickass. I counted how many lives you obtained above counter on this one, too: 77. Although, I could be off by a few this time.
Just got these games and super Nintendo console . Got all dk games,1,2&3. Use Play dk 1&2 as kid .i cry when got this game and console few days ago . Happy cry . brings me back then my good old days..as kid..
That one race level where you are being chased by ghosts and have to jump up twice to get both bonus levels was the one thing both my mom and I couldn't find, so we bought the Nintendo power book for the game to find it and we were so flabbergasted at that trick. It was like that one coin was done that way just to get you to buy the book. But all that aside, I over playing this over and over with my mom. This and original NES Solstice.
Omg brings back memories my siblings and I well mostly brother and I played thos all time on Super Nintendo. We sit in the dark wit pop and munchies playing all night! Miss being a kid dang! I also got it on the old wii so my kids even got to enjoy it!
triggers are a real thing; they're usually assorted with bad, even traumatic memories, but they can also be applied to good memories 0:02 and 0:14 are VERY good triggers

almost 30 years later, it's still difficult for me to think of a game with more inspired music than this
Tienes razón, me lo estoy jugando en el celular, ya me rescaté la 1 ya casi me rescato la 2, y me queda faltando la 3
The soundtrack to the first one is the first CD I ever owned.
I couldn't agree more, really
For some reason, I do like the old SNES version rather than the new one
A masterpiece of a game. What people today forget is that back then, if you were stuck on a level or couldn't find those tokens there was no TH-cam or much Internet to help you out.
*no internet. yes it existed in 1995, but most people didn't have access to it until the late 90s.
I had like 180 percent completion or something, even with internet i have not been able to get that much completion ever since.
People never forget the pre internet days they were amazing

This is one of the best games in the wonderfully fantastic SNES
This brought tears to my eyes. My whole childhood flashed before my eyes . I finally beat this game in 2018.
I can’t stop watching, reminds me of the good old days, be right back, going to cry for a bit
One of the greatest games EVER made! The levels are so much fun and challenging and the music choices are on another level than anything of its time!
Dk2 was the best of series. Fun, hard and secret level. Ty for this memories :3

I remember playing this game as a lad and it taking me a my whole summer to beat! He made my summer into one afternoon. That’s so impressive!
Here in Brazil, we love this game, and Super Mario World, two Nintendo classics here.
I’ve always been more partial to Dixie Kong in this game for both her victory theme and the helicopter thing she can do with her hair.
This is the best Donkey Kong Country of all of time.
When I looking at this game it reminds when my brother Josh got it as stocking gift for Christmas it was the bomb
