- In the latest round of severe weather, one person was reported killed in Tennessee, and dozens of tornadoes have been reported across seven states, causing widespread destruction. More severe weather is expected in the days ahead. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports.

When I was around six years old, a tornado came through our county. Afterwards, my parents took us on a drive to see the devastation. I was so disappointed. I thought we were going to see the dead tornado. Yes, I was a stupid little kid.
We should be pushing for more public shelters along with funding programs to help provide personal shelters in these high prone areas.
Places that get rebuilt, should be built to higher standards also and if need be the government should step in to help there too.
Especially when it comes to people homes.
Honestly the way we build needs to change in general...
But if we can't get that can we at least have some true shelters for when the need arises.

Few people have such funds and very few locations will subsidize such development. It's not a serious priority for public funding at all.

The government is helping the people in this country suffering from these tornadoes. Ever time a tornado destroys part of a town the governor issues a disaster declaration and the federal government sends disaster relief as they have for decades!!!
