If you are using Microsoft word, it has a microphone that you click so that you can dictate your words onto the page. That's an option as well.

Julie believe it or not I actually write with pen ✍️ to paper for the manuscript of all my books & plays.
Then I usually pass it over to my editor who takes it and edits it for me.
But I have typed out a couple of my books as well but they all get written out first.
I think better when I’m literally writing.
When I did the audio version of one of my books I did record it using my phone before going into the studio.
That was a lot of work. 😓
I will be trying some of these ideas going forward just to get my thoughts out of my head when they pop up.

Love it! Yes, we've had a couple of clients that hand write their books too. We use a service that takes written text and turns it into text on the screen to get the manuscript typed up. That might help you in the future. The name of the service is escaping me right now ...

I type out my books but there were times with this last book where I wanted my fingers to put the words down as quickly as I was thinking them. I can type 90 wpm but it still wasn’t fast enough. Maybe once my sales take off I’ll try new things.
    Great video!

I handwrite in notebooks first. I've got a lot of typing to do once I'm done. I usually type up what I've written along the way, but this time I didn't. I'm kind of regretting that now.

Thanks for the video. I used my apple phone to dictate my notes for a travel book concept. I emailed it to myself and dropped it into a draft KDP manuscript. Having something on the page helped me start my #WIP instead of just thinking about it.

Great tips. I love writing but with a long list of chronic health issues like anemia and fibromyalgia, if it works right a program like dragon speaks could come in handy.

I was working right at hotel hospitality business. The hamster was crawling down the hill .
It started growing with the music tunes every 30 minutes 2 ft.
At the end of the hill it was 25 ft tall with sharp claws and fangs.
After rolling down the hill for a few miles.
It started feeding on milk trucks and biting in buildings as it was making its way through the city.
    To be continued...

I have just tryed to get my tower PC running again after 8 years. It's working but I've discovered at 72 I forgot how to use it! I'm going to try to go to the senior center and refresh my PC skills. Plus to complicate matters someone gave me a new laptop to start BUT I don't know how to use it. How would I cone t it ( other than ele t of course, I certainly know to plug it in. But how to work it. The senior sender only has A NIGHT CLASS!! And I don't go out nor drive any more at night. So oh oh. No day classes. Any ideas? Oh I'm also now in low income housing as im retired now...and alone. I'm the last one standing, no relatives to help me. Please advise? Oh, ps...my story is a good one, I wrote and then typed it all out by hand before pcs were invented. I still have it.

Good morning I, have a question for you I, want to publish 10 poem micro-chapbook? I was told that a micro-chapbook does not require a preface glossary or even to number the pages although I might number it. I have a new barcode for the back side and I will register the copyright so the number will be on the back as well. So far I, have only written and published two poems one in a Little Journal and one in a Poetry Blog and next month another poem will be published in the Spring edition a well however I have never written a book before so where do I start? I want to go digital but I would like to have 10 print copies published as well 5 Hard Cover and 5 Papeback. The Library said they will accept it with a Copyright Registration and a ASIN. Can you help me please? I started writing 10 months ago so the m a novice. :)

Great video, Julie! For NaNoWriMo one year, I dictated my novel with the speech-to-text in MS Word. I got the words down, but it showed me how poor my diction was, as well as demonstrating how my thoughts meandered, even with an outline. Still, I'm glad I tried this out. Everything since that time has been done with me trying to shatter my keyboard with my fingertips.

    • @BookLaunchers
      @BookLaunchers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I LOVE shattering my keyboard with my fingertips :D
I cannot dictate either ... I can shoot videos but, as I am sure you've noticed when I'm live, I go on side quests all the time so it does not create great book material.

I tell stories about my life. People tell me all the time, you should write a book or that would make a great movie. Thing is, I’m not a writer. I have 110 stories so far. All non-fiction real life stuff. In your opinion should I AI dictate then find a ghost writer and if so, how do I find a ghost writer that’s not going to cost me an arm and a leg. Also how to I protect myself from getting ripped off. Yes, I believe these stories are that good. I wrote a pilot once and pitched it to a ‘ friend’ only to find out a major, and talking one of the biggest pay channels in to world did a pilot with additional episodes within a year or so of my pitch. It never aired…. But it was definitely my script. So …… totally new but I’m going forward with this book and have concerns about protecting intellectual property. I’m a songwriter too. So I’m protected in the music industry. That’s something I know. I need help and have the stories and idea outlined. Suggestions?
