    - Incredible views across Khor Fakkan, the Gulf of Oman and the Hajar Mountains.
    - Witness Khor Fakkan's container port, the only natural deep-sea port in the region.
    - Well signposted and trails in good condition.
    - Hike duration is around 4 hours on average.
    - A challenging hike but suited to anyone with a good level of fitness - the hike should not be underestimated and you should embark on the trail prepared.
    - Be sure to have a sunhat, sunscreen, plenty of water, a charged mobile phone and food.
    - Watch to discover Khor Fakkan's past including Portuguese rule and what 'Khor Fakkan' means.
How to get to Al Rabi Mountain:
    - Search for Al Rabi Tower in Google Maps which will guide you to the hike car park
    - Car park for hikers is at the bottom of the tarmac road that leads up to Al Rabi Tower
    - There is parking at the Tower itself but this is for Tower visitors only
    - Journey duration is 90 minutes from the downtown end of Dubai
    Covid-19 advice:
The trail is often busy with hikers so take a face mask with you for when you are close to others.

You should be good mate. Take the shortcut at 1500m to the right to cut out some of the climb up and it’ll give you a good level path before going up to the summit,

Al Rabi is fine for a beginner. It's challenging at times, but with a few rest areas you'd be fine. Just take it easy, pace yourself and don'r rush back down!

Hi Manu! Great, have fun on Friday. I would say its about 6k in total from start to end. Time wise, it really does depend what pace you want to go at. You can do it quicker than 4 hours, but if you want to take your time, 4 hours is about right. Looking forward to seeing your photos!

Few days ago this video just popped in my recommendation, and I watched it. And yesterday 20 may I was there.
From the beginning every thing went terribly wrong, first -I forgot my sunglasses, second- I reached the starting point 1 pm, third - I had only one bread for breakfast and didn't carry any food, fourth - I didn't have enough water and most important I totally miss calculated the challenge of climbing that mountain in this scorching heat and my strength, almost abandoned from half way, but some how I was able to make summit and it was worth the struggle I had to do. And again it was equally difficult for descending too. I almost black out when I was about to reach the parking . And that time I realized that adventures are not made for me 🤣. So I promised to myself that my greatest adventure will be going to beach 🏖️ and climbing my bed not more than that.

Hi Tandin, Thanks for getting in touch. You need to always be responsible when hiking outdoors, especially when you are inexperienced. It is vital you prepare, take more water than you need, food and plan your route so you know what you embarking on. In my video, it's clear it can be a steep climb at Al Rabi. Please make sure if you hike again you take the appropriate preparation.

Hello Mr. Bushell, Thank you for your reply. This week I am planning to go for overnight camping in jebel Jais, followed by hiking next morning. So do you think it's good at this time? For an inexperienced person. Plus which area is designed for camping ? In your video I can see that you started your hiking from viewing deck park, is there camping place around? Thank you very much for your attention🙏. Looking forward to see your some advice too.
