I cant wait to see scrapman try to break the sound barrier in the creative mode.
I am very confident that it is impossible because of all the bumps. I haven't explored the new map, but I assume it is also too bumpy.
@@markpullman785 Thats not the only cause, at a certain point (above 942 km/h) It just says 0,9 km/h, plus it would need over 12 large gears.

A note on those Corkscrew movements - I thought they'd be better stunts, but they're actually worse! Only Front/Backflips are counted for extra points, sideways flips have no points boost. So by doing the corkscrew, all that's happening is the game thinks you're failing multiple backflips in a row (by mixing a backflip and a non-counted sideways flip) and not counting anything.
Commenting here since my comment would be buried otherwise, she seems to only care about flips on the pitch axis, airtime, and smooth landings. She also always seems to call smooth landings "moderate" even if it's the smoothest achievable.
Yeah, it was really painful watching scrap man do those corkscrew jumps and not realizing that… screwdrivers only has 4 ways to earn points in that game mode currently, which are front flips, back flips, long jumps, and landings

Apparently the Early Access released yesterday and the entire things changed... haven't gotten up to (what I think is) the new version of the stunt challenges yet but maybe its been updated.

Early Access is still free-to-play if you wanna check it out, they've overhauled the entire Career/progression system.
In summary: Demo "Skill Tree" progression system was removed, replaced with "random find" parts (in chests on the map, similar to Trailmakers) and Milestone parts (unlocked by completing their individual missions in the career, with from what I can gather no parts requirements, just finish at Bronze or better).
Career is also *very* linear, start at the bottom and work your way up
Based on reviews people seem to prefer the Demo systems, ngl I can kinda see why
0:14 someone forgot to multiply the wheel side force with movement speed, making them apply cornering force when not moving. That's my guess

When I found your channel you were pretty comfortable with Scrap Mechanic and Trail Makers. It’s fun to watch you as a noob on a new interesting game.

I tried playing this game and it ate so much of my RAM and CPU that every loading screen took 5 minutes and froze the rest of my PC
EDIT: the non-demo version runs significantly better as I suspected from the seemingly overhauled loading system

i got an absolute potato of a pc and couldn't load up the first level

i mean i got like a 400 dollar pc and i could run it no problem, technicaly less because i gave an older part to someone that i could have sold for 100 bucks

oh yeah I completely forgot about that series! man i want him to continue it as well. but if he isn't interested anymore then there's not much to be done
I think he realized there was really no end goal there. I love that mod and fants other mods but they add nothing to scrap mechanic other than some parts and game mechanics. I can see why he stopped playing. Sky mechanic was quite limited in content. And he basically did it all. I would love to see him try a multi-player survival with Kan or kosmo, but using 00fants modded survival.

@@10010Linus most likely, since youtubers record multiple videos and set them in-queue for release.
22:00 it triggers the shift when the shift would provide more power at the higher speed. since the first one is falling off, the second will eventually be better, this is when it transitions.
It's weird how Scrapman did not removed the middle wheels for the rear-wheel drive. I think they would've only been extra drag. Great video as always though!
I'd like to see you go down the mechanic section to unlock more gears, engines, other mechanical parts. That way you can have more variety in future builds.
Btw. If you accidentally fly off a cliff on speed king, if you press Delete, you respawn at checkpoint
For anyone wanting to play the game the full version is out and data does not transfer from the demo to the early access version so make sure to play the early access since that’s the full release as of rn.
Scrap man, it should be noted that the reason you didn’t get points from that massive jump is that side and corkscrew flips aren’t actually counted, only back and front flips.
This game is also about learning new stuff, some are car stuff including the gear shifting, and more fascinating mechanical stuff that can be learn by this game.

Planet gears is a mechanical element that can be used in 2 main ways:
1. You can put two torque imputs and one output, giving you the possibility to’ create an hybrid engine, since you have 2 powered axles that combine into one
2. You can have just one power input and two outputs, and this is basically the concept behind a car differential
11:58 oh and, if you ever need, in this configuration you would have kinda doubled your power, more ore less. If you Connect a big gear to an engine, and then a small gear to the big one, you will get a big increase in power; if you want to get EVEN MOOORE POWER you can then just Connect, like you did here, a big gear to the same axle of the small gear and then Connect another small gear to the big one (this thing can be repeated many Times, and you will get in return much more power and rotational speed but WAAAY less torque… so you have to balance it)
Although the game is still in the basics, I would love to see the types of complex Scrapman constructions like motorcycles, aeroCars, etc...
Scrap, I'm no gears expert but I think you should have a look at the mechanics of gears and how they are applied in real life. It would be a massive help, you can do a lot with gears.

Scrapman look at steam workshop builds. They gave me so many new ideas on gear configurations and ways to build the transmission. It will also highlight some of the areas you may be building inefficiently.
Even the small dirt tires are pretty big. Now I can happily imagine a monster truck using big dirt tires and planet gears and etc
Theyre only big because his builds are small, theyre accurately described as small. Theyre like atv tires/wheels.

Maybe you could do weights next, so that you can build a more stable car with also better aesthetics

The driving in this game feels so smooth
I can't wait until you start dealing with the Aerodynamics. That'll throw you through a loop for sure. xD
I just realized the kings do fix the main gripe I have with the new system, which is crashing makes you need to restart, while with kings you just lose points for one or 2 sections.
id try doing a sand rail style for the sand, it would also let you keep speed if your only using 2 off-road tires and skinnys in front

I have waited so long for a screw drivers video
Bigger wheels mean you are gearing up the system and getting less acceleration. This is because the axel turning the wheel rotates at the same speed when you have small wheels. But since big wheels have a bigger circumference the car moves a greater distance per revolution. So you can get a higher top speed at the cost of acceleration.

Crash could give some unique and powerful combinations
SPEED SECRET ** Optimum weight distribution for best handling is 43 percent {front axle} / 57 percent [rear axle,] so says Porsche. Handling bonus would be wasted if additional grip {fatter rear tire} wasn't also added to compensate (it varies sometimes).
Try to learn a lot of stuff in the demo because you have to restart in the full game
Can't wait till they add non land based vehicles but in the meantime you could try to build a semi truck complete with the 16-24 gears

7:40 you should have removed unnecessary blocks from the back. Also I am pretty sure that the gear does not enhance your cars performance. also the middle wheel is harming your steering.
Corkscrews give no points, only front/back flips do. And distance jumped. Each have a set amount of points, backflips have the most. Just always do backflips.

Plz dont add weight, if you want grip adjust your center of mass and change wheels, adding weight will decrease your acceleration by alot, if you can add downforce that will also help alot as you get the benefit of faster acceleration while getting grip at higher speeds

the game hit early access yesterday. now it got new map and races etc. you should swap to that, still free.
ok so how to do it it right get to sup for the wheels now then do like a few more engines then do some wheels last because theres some crazy stuff an your car will not move like almost at all if you dont get some others parts also get some dur parts you need the nexy sup for better stunt landings but if your car brakes you dont get as much so you need to start doing some smashing ones so get the sup then get some armor parts to help with braking then get the engines like 2 more or so then more wheels your at the point where wheels will not help much if you go down that part of the list you just waste your money

The gear prob has a collision at one point and the suspention is released when u spawn in. u can see it
This seems like such a fun game. Makes me wonder why basically all Lego games are the same reskinned game, when they could be doing something like this. The only interesting thing they've done is the Fortnite colab which looks like an actual survival building game (haven't played it though).

0:20 Speaking of discovering a glitch. Idk what it is called but you can purpousfully drive while the result screen is up. I recorded it and put it on youtube so i tought you might find it interesting. (Not trying to promote my channel or smth just saying that i have a vid of said glitch where you can drive while the result screen is up.)

fun fact if u disconnect ur engine from ur vehicle u can still drive with no change exept a cleaner looking car, atleast thats what happened when i tried
i think this game doesn't count the sideways flips you were doing so you should try to do more front/back flips
