Did you find it quite easy to use the mini digger? I'm wanting to clear the site and do the footings on a self build project myself.
Yes, like riding a bike. Once you get the hang of the controls after 20-30mins, your away
How to contact you, I have exactly same issue with my garden :(
awesome video. u look knackered mate but well worth it.
Thank you, I am 😁
Well done grafter!!!!! That takes some courage. We’re you not afraid incase there were any pipes etc in the soil? Or is there some check you can do?
Its certainly a consideration and care was taken. But understanding what was here before our house, knowing where the drains are for the surrounding houses I felt the risk was low.
Well done did a great job enjoyed your video
Thank you for your comment 🙂
wow - super impressive work mate, welldone. How many orders of grab hire did you needed for clearing away the 150 tonnes of material. Thanks
Thank you 🙂. Each load was max 16t for the truck and we had 11x full grab loads.
Shame about the tree stumps at the back & side, could they not be cut down to ground level? I'm sure there is a reason you've left them. Terrific work by the way.
Yes they could, the smaller ones we may still do. The large ones we are thinking of having them carved in to something
People are advising I hire someone to do the digging out for something similar. How long did it take to dig and level out and what are your thoughts on doing it yourself please
Hi,
I had the digger and dumper for 7 days, which was enough to dig out, it was 7x 10-12 hour days. The while garden was a total of about 5 months in and around work and material supply.
I think it depends on your skillset, willingness to research, but it’s absolutely doable with thought and consideration.
Had you used plant machinery before ? If not did it take long to get the hang of it? Cheers
No, never before in this particular video. I was given a good demonstration prior to delivery, but coordination of what level does what is the hardest learning aspect, but picked it up well
How many 🍺 u have after this
🤣🤣 we don’t have any in the house 😩
DIY Journey nightmare hahaha. Job well done though
