    I’m in the process of planning to build one and your style is exactly what I had in mind. 3 years on, is there anything you’d do differently and are you happy with the results still?

    Looking at yours - I think I will have a go at mine - much smaller but the same idea. Thanks for all your tips. Just need decent weather now.

    Just came across your channel buddy. I've subbed. I'm going through my own renovation so some great tips.
    Were those reclaimed railway sleepers? Or were they made with that rustic look?

      Yes they are reclaimed sleepers, specifically oak ones for longevity

    Great video. Just what I was looking for! I’m planning to make a sleeper wall exactly like you have. For the vertical sleepers, I was originally going to use steel posts, but for both cost and look reasons, I’d rather use more sleepers like you have. Mine will need to be 1.25m out the ground to support the soil, can you advise if a sleeper in concrete will be strong enough to support this? And can you advise how deep in the ground the vertical sleeper would need to go? I was planning to go about 750mm deep - is that sufficient? Thanks in advance!

    Where do you drain away to?

    • @DIYJourney1
      @DIYJourney1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on your properties set up, for me this will probably hold water and slowly release in to the ground. I don’t anticipate any water flowing out of the drain installed
