This is one of the best synths out there. It's good that one can get surgical via the billions of microparameters, but making your own presets on it is wearisome. It seems to have SIX oscillators, holy damn.
First thing I always have to do on any synth is dig up where the reverb and delays are, and switch them off. Those two effects are over-used. Reverb and delay are for touching things up here and there, but everybody except me love to embalm everything in echoes.
This really bugs me aswell because we spend a small fortune on our reverbs/delays and other effects, so why would we want to use built in effects that the synth programmers only really add to boost the price.
Comprei todos os plugins da AIR, são excelentes! Já compús muitas obras com o uso dos plugins, o xpand 2 para mim foi o melhor, porém o Hybrid 3 é muito versátil e tem um motor síntese incrível!
Great video! One question - how have you imported Hybrid effects into Cakewalk? By adding "the" Hybrid folder/s in your PC to the VST Scan locations in Cakewalk?
Hi, the effects are built into the synth. I only installed the synth. If you are having problems with that, then as you say, you just need to make sure the VST is in the correct scan location or add the path to scan locations. Hope that helps!
Many thanks. I couldn't "see" the Hybrid effects in Cakewalk, so tried in MPC Beats instead - but same issue. I must be doing something wrong. Possibly I need to install a VST plug-in first (to Cakewalk or MPC Beats) - rather than just point to the folder location of where the Hybrid effects are on my PC! By the way great clarity and volume in your videos. A lot of TH-camrs have good videos, but one really struggles to hear what they're saying
@@makaras Just to be clear, there are no separate hybrid 3 effects. Just the synth, which has effects built in. If you can see the synth, that's everything! if not then, check your paths as already said. Glad the sound is OK, it's tricky getting that right. Thanks again.
@@RunningonairMusic Ah - I found out what I was doing wrong (thanks to when I downloaded VSTs from Spitfire Audio "LABS" - which advised certain paths to download ITS VSTs too...) - I was scanning for "C:\Program Files (x86)\AIR Music Technology\Hybrid\Presets" - when the path I SHOULD have tried scanning to (and which worked in "MPC Beats" DAW) was "C:\Program Files\Steinberg" - why Steinberg I have no clue, but it is a name that seems to keep popping up on Google in terms of VSTs and DAWs and so on. Hope this message helps someone else :-)
Please can you help me. I have just got Hybrid and I love it. I can save the pre-sets, but how do I load them back in later. At the moment I have to search for it each time. I thought there would just be a load pre-set button. Thank you in advance.
I find it hard to believe that in 2022, the vst3 format doesn't just have some magnification routine coded in where we can just stretch out any plugin to enlarge it.

I think ill be using it a lot more soon. Ive got project in mind. Also want to do a programming video at some point.

Yes, every synth has a full suite of effects. Tends to fill the mix a bit too much sometimes.

I think, by default, it stores them in a user preset folder. Should be with the other presets.
This is a decent synth but the UI is outdated and tiny. The sole reason I don't use it.
Fair point.

That is becoming more common fortunately.
air’s products are wonderful, t have been abandoned for decades: no vst3, no gui resize - use windows accessibility magnifier (#+)
Hilarious this thing used to go for 10usd, now its over 100$? Wtf lol. still a small GUI. Its basically unusable.
not sure where you got that price from. I saw it in synth pack for £30 last week. maybe you caught it just at the wrong time.
