It’s crazy in Louisiana you can have 6 kids and not be registered or licensed and still qualify for the food program my mom has never had to deal with the state only had to deal with the food program coming out every 3 months. Unfortunately I no longer live in Louisiana.
So for registered you don’t have to do CPR first aid ?? For the in person competency test if you took the test for registered and want to do licensed, do you have to take the whole test again?? For licensed, the backyard has to be divided, or the backyard could be shared with little ones and preschool and school aged?? How many times does the inspection come along?? If you have a husband who works at night, doesn't inspector have to go in the room??
FOR FLORIDA. No you do not need CPR or First Aid. It’s recommended, but not required for registered homes. You do not need to repeat exams if it’s for the same course. For example, there is a course called ‘Health Safety and Nutrition’ that you need to take for Licensed and Registered homes. If you take it once and pass the exam, that’s it. It can go towards registered or licensed homes, and it’ll go on your transcript so it works for whatever. The backyard question, you’d need to ask someone else. I’ve used one yard for all ages 6weeks and up. You need to ask for a second opinion on that. For licensed homes, they are inspected 2 times annually. Registered homes are only inspected if there is a complaint. I have been registered for over 10 years and have never seen anyone from DCF.
@totstothetop I passed all the competency exam tests for HOME regulations and rules for registered and did the online courses. I don't know if there's a difference. Now, doing the cares application.

Yes . There is a list of counties that require licensure and do not accept registration.
How many can you have with being registered and licensed ? Is there a difference in the amount ?
Not in Florida. The difference come in with LARGE Licensed Home Daycares. They can have a tad more.
