Loved that one level with the munchers not only because it gave me huge mario 3 vibes but also because i loved how the unsettling feel of the level on the map was replicated in the level itself with the music and seeing Bowser in the background watching over you was just an amazing example of emersion done right.
Sorry, but New Super Mario Bros. DS Ghost House is way creepier than this completely unobjectively This is still probably my favorite ost in SMBW tho just cus of the unique tune and tone it has
Imo I think it's more chill and cozy than creepy, but I can see where you're coming from. The warped trumpets in the beginning do sound a little unsettling.
