Kangyerengyere is a song that is inspired by a traditional proverb that says Oshwera abuuza neinga oshwerwa abuuza (those that marry or get married always do research). It was a norm of our people to always send there friends and relatives to the village of the bride or the bridegroom to silently carry out a research about the reputation of the family , bride or bridegroom. The purpose of this was to ensure that once the reputation both sides was okay it would strengthen the sustainabilty of the young family and avoid early divorces, fights and in some cases street children are increasing in number due to family instabilities . This is why we should consider conserving traditional intellectual property as its a unique spice in our diverse world wide cultures that gives us a sense of belonging.
