If that music instrument created by Zhuang people. It is mean Thai and North Vietnamese is the same ethnic.

If the current hypotheses are true, the Thai population of Thailand emanate from the Shan states in Burma which emanate from southern Yunnan.

Or yk maybe just a Zhuang instrument like it... would make sense given the proximity. Afterall, there is plenty of instruments in other cultures that are inspired by Han instruments... why not Kinh too?
Nguoi Zhuang are descendants of the Au Viet tribe that remained under Chinese rule and influence. The Vietnamese are descendants of the Lac viet native to the red river delta and the au viet. You know Lac Long Quan and Au Co? That mythical story came from those two tribes uniting and mixing 2000 years in North Vietnam. That is why Vietnamese has tones like Chinese/Tai-Kadai languages even though it is in the same family as Khmer which has no tones. Do more research on the Baiyue/ Bach Viet/ Hundred Viets and you will know that these people shared many ancient customs with us in the past.
