  • Hey there! Welcome to my channel.
In this video, I relaxed my hair at home all by myself. It was quite challenging because I've not had to do this with my hair this long, but I'm so glad about the outcome. Are you thinking of a Relaxer Touch Up? Maybe this is your sign to do it yourself at home lol.
I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed making it. XoXo

Only relax the new growth and not the entire hair strand. Also, combing through all your hair will eventually cause severe breakage and damage ❤

@@thestylishaestheticianalso don’t relax too often. Relax no more often than every three months. The chemicals in relaxer can easily cause permanent damage to the scalp. I remember when I was still relaxed, I had scabs all over my head and I still have one or two 6-7 years later with sensitive scalp issues. Also don’t leave a relaxer on for more than 15 mins.

Right! I last relaxed say in January and I might only relax again around December or January.

I advice you do your chemical treatment with a professional. You got this touch up wrong.

The sad thing is that so many people will see this and repeat this process wrong as well. So many people are misinformed 😢

My dear if yoy want to active a silk press look use a dim size of each product little goes a long way and apply it before blow drying don’t apply more before flatironing as you can you use too much product and oily products which weighs down the hair just a drop of each product message it well and next time only retouch your undergrowth

Only relax your new growth for a touchup otherwise your hair will become thin.

Haven’t hear of this relaxer but your roots took it well, they are so smooth 🤩 but there’s a lot of product after the relaxer process 🙈 you used a lot of moisturiser, your hair became so greasy 😢 next time only use a tiny bit as well as a tiny bit of heat protectant. A little and well spread goes a long way, you’ll see more movement from your hair even if you were to just air dry your hair ❤

Sis slapping that relaxer & combing like she deep conditioning!
    Girllll ! 😭😭
I know you said you never did it yourself but next time you’re new to something , especially chemicals. You might want to do research & watch vids to have a better idea of how to do it correctly

Oh no sweetheart. Just oil on the scalp isn’t enough to stop damage to the scalp. Put the Vaseline all throughout the scalp. It’s much thicker and would take longer for the relaxer to eat through that barrier. The hair didn’t look healthy before the relaxer. It looked super stiff and The ends look fried and over processed. Hydrate and deep condition every two weeks and do a protein treatment every so often. Also remember to get your ends trimmed. And NEVER process hair that has already been processed. Your hair was SCREAMING, my love. New growth ONLY. You’re not going to retain any length. So stretching your relaxers will be pointless. And remember when you stretch your relaxer for a long time you have to know how to take care of two different hair types at the same time. For some people, stretching actually causes more breakage bcus they don’t know how to do that. That’s why it’s forever at shoulder-length.
This guy gives great tips on how to manage your relaxed hair:

Next time use a scalp base protect creme. Please do not use Vaseline if you need to protect your scalp from burning. There are quite a few brands of base protect creme. The base creme can also be used to protect the ears and the perimeter area before relaxing.
