Thank you so much for this video. I have been using this method for two days and my technique has been fundamentally transformed. My hand development, especially left hand, has been incredible, I can do things I have never been able to do. Great video
Thank you so much for your help! I got on snareline this season and needed to look for help/advice (aside from my instructors) and this was perfect! Definitely felt some change and improvement when I played
I had learned to hold the sticks with my thumb on top, with fingers gripping the sides of the sticks. I was told that people that don’t hold the sticks in the traditional manor, were more than likely fallowing a marching drummer.
Source for exercise at 12:12 - Tom Float and the 1976 Oakland Crusaders Congrats on the interpretation of the 32nd after the 16ths bars 11 - 14. Most people don't leave the gap. Of course, sometimes you guys left a gap you could drive a truck through😎
Hello, I am a new drummer and your videos are super helpful! It seems the you have more lessons than listed on your youtube channel, could you possibly tell me where I can find the rest? I am not able to access your DrummingExpert.com site :( Thank you so much!!
Hello Randall, I have a bit of a weird question. I am in marching band and I am trying to switch to snare next year but I only have the rest of the school year to get everything I need to know down. Should I be looking here for this information or are you teaching other things that wont matter
This video explained and taught left handed traditional in 20 minutes what my instructor hasn't taught me in a year... Thank you so much

That looks so stiff... But you play drum corps and all of those guys look like that. Set players don't look like that.
He talks about the importance of technique and then takes all of this fingers off the right hand when playing a roll. Hm.
you can leave some space for the stick to breath its always best to have more meat on the stick but you can let the stick breath
I love his technique.....
