      I wonder bout the wear and tear with time, how would they hold up. I have seen the single level mobile homes after years how much they deteriorate if u don't take care of them, just like regular homes..if u don't take care of them. I wonder how long they with hold... Just curious....🤔🤔🤨🤨

    People on here whining about the carpet in the livingroom, you don't HAVE to have it. Easy fix. N also people bitching about its over priced for a "mobile home".. Yeah, if you're putting it in a trailer park. Throw this bitch on an acre or more with a finished basement, you're set. N finally, saying you might as well buy a "regular house" compared to a manufactured or modular.. The only difference I've seen between a manufactured/modular n a stick built is they're built in different environments. Man/mod are built indoors in a controlled environment n stick built is built outside over a longer period of time. Damn, all people do is complain. If you don't like these types of homes, don't go out of your way to watch them.

      As previously suggested look for manufacturers within CA. The building codes for earthquakes are different and CA is highly regulated. There are a number of them that will have a number of models for you to choose from, and many of them have a number of options of upgrades as well.

      There is much to do to get ready for the home to be placed on your own land. If you place it in a park of some type it is some easier but you do need a slab to put it on and skirting around it at the bottom at least and then hooked up. If you buy your own land you must have your septic often Perked, and putting in water softeners ( so the hard water is not causing problems, and putting in a well or even a couple, as if you do not have a Spring you will need one for the Washer and dishwashers and also showering and for all in the house. Building a porch as you need stairs with railings a least. Landscaping. (after they bring in home and set it up and you need to enclose the home underneath and if you are in a cold region you would need to make sure you have some heat for pipes to not break under the home. )
      I know as my husband and I put in a mobile home on two acres. We live in NYS and each State may vary though but yes it can add up.
      Best to have land and do all the setting up and then get the home as you need at least with a concrete pad to put under the home, as you do not have a basement.
      'This is a lovely home' and can do so much with it, but extra features you may want causes you to pay more money too, for the home. extras can add up. but this home is NEW and other homes you buy will need fixing and wiring may not be good or the plumbing etc.
      Houses are expensive now.
      Double Wides though do Not go down in price, we were told that too, but once a single/double garage is added ( that helps alot) you will find your home goes 'up' in value and you can sell it higher than you bought it because of the land and what you have and with it all. So that is not necessarily true about them going down in value unless you do not keep it up, and you ruin a home ( not meaning you, but anyone)
      If you already have your land etc, then just make sure you have a place to live until the mobile is all put in, because often they are late finishing putting a home together all they should and it is hard to get the home in as you have asked.
      Unless you make the mobile home place sign a paper and they would pay for where you must stay if they are late finishing up YOU will need to find a place to stay and pay for it .. Often they will not do it, as they hire Subcontractors to do that part of it all. So depends on the distributor/company and you can talk with them about all of this.
      Landscaping is done later by you or other people. Of course most of it you can take your time with except maybe a driveway and porches, patios, or whatever you would choose but in the end, you will be happy am sure and appreciate it all because you did take your time to try to make sure things were done well. Sometimes the companies do have a package deal with the land, and /or you can ask the bank to help you with this. Often just certain banks work to loan for Mobile Homes but most companies will help you know who they are and how to contact them. If you get land too often you can join it somehow together. Sounds like alot but it n go together well. If you can do some carpentry work yourself and some landscaping maybe it will go quite a bit easier, or if you just take out enough in the loan to handle it all.

    This is beautiful!!!! There's such a stigma about mobile homes. But this is not the trailer homes of yesteryear. I was completely satisfied with downstairs, but to have a 2nd floor?!!! You can turn that into anything! I would have two more rooms and another full bathroom. Where, what city/state is this home located?

You really cant get that in a stick built home. Also I would haggle that price cause that dealer didnt pay more than 80k for that. Check into a Champion Home. They make really nice homes and the 2 stories are finished upstairs.

    Nice but very pricey for a mobile home...would like to have a his and hers closet like that...I thought the idea of a mobile home was to save money on a place to live, you can build/buy a very nice home for 230K. However, this is an awesome mobile home, I would prefer the upstairs to be a cathedral ceiling slanted to one side for height...just an idea. Would love to see the upstairs finished in both! I assume to finish the upstairs would put this mobile home around 300K or more!

    Love all those outlets above the kitchen counter! The sharp corners on the island (and I do like the island) are a problem for older adults who have a tendency to fall - those corners would mean a trip to the hospital at least. Puzzled by little green thing on the wall - what is it? Crown molding everywhere! No door in master bath to room w/ commode - needs a door and sink-in-room. Lots of closet space! I am in love with the high pitch of the 2nd story roof - so often modular or mobile homes have very shallow pitches, which immediately identify them as such; this one looks stick built.

I know a thing or two about trailers, and with what you have shown.. I don't think this one is remotely worth $230,000. I seen on the first part where you showed us the second door screen and I looked closely at the framing around the door. the air gun type nails in the door frame was just like the ones I used to live in.. the last trailer I had was the bestest ever.. it was a 14X70 with front bedroom bay windows.. I will always remember it.. but this one here.. nah, I'll pass, but Thanks again for showing and sharing .. Blessings

    We looked at a 3 bedroom for 50,000 and by the time it would be paid off we would have paid over 150,000 for it. You could build a home for less than that, which I am doing right now! 👌🏻👌🏻

    I love this house except why do manufacturers keep putting the master closet in the bathroom? And with no door on it to boot! The is so gross! Lol is these an option to have the closet actually IN the bedroom?

    $229,000 isn't bad at all for the wealthy senior citizens who just love the Florida manufactured home environment.

    Pretty nice! For everyone comparing there differences. A stick home is just as cheep and difficult to put together. Approved sewer water electricity ect. And building cost on land for both, it’s all the same in the end nothings cheaper. 2-3 grand a month is half a million bucks in the bank. Do what ever you want. This home is brand new, move in ready, buy two and rent one.

    I’m curious how this house gets transported. Having two stories it seems like it would be too tall to fit under highway overpasses. Do they finish the upper level on site? Put it on with a crane??

    • @niamhgreatdane
      @niamhgreatdane 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think so. As far as ive read they make portions and put them together on site. I could be wrong maybe different companies do different things

      The upper floor gets assembled on site. Usually in modular homes, the second storey is really an attic.

    Nice home! From the recording, I’m guessing you are very tall or holding selfie stick up high...I didn’t get a chance to see what type of flooring were in bedroom closets....that’s kinda important...at least to me. Thanks for sharing tho!

    the center island is nice but whats up that the color doesn't match the mediocre-looking cabinets...that looks tacky. The countertops are crap and get rid of the carpet and put in some nice upscale vinyl plank.

    Would change the wire shelving. All cabinets would have to be white the island gray. Great home. Love the 2nd floor.

    For 229k is a steal in California. You can't even buy a one bedroom here for that price lol. That is very true in the city I live in.

  • @Julietaescasan
    @Julietaescasan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't like the stove, it does not have any space on the sides to put utensils. You have to go around so spills will be on the floor, laundry close should have shells for the pantry, and should be a pocket door. Bed #1 should have sliding closet doors that way it does not take up space. Bed #2 the closet door is good because it opens to the inside it gives more floor space. everything else is good.

    Wow,Awesome and the 2floor could actually be used for a master suite with a sitting area with library shelving built in's surrounding a fireplace or even turn it into a studio type apartment/mother in-law suite with even a bathroom with up and down washer/dryer. 🙂👍

    These Homes are so cool and impressive up until the price. The whole appeal of these mobile homes and prefab homes is that they are supposed to be cheaper than buying a real house. What the hell is the point at these prices? Why would you spend this much for a mobile home that’s just going to lose half of its value the second you make the purchase? Not only that but you also have to purchase land or own land to put it on so you have to pay for that too along with lots of other fun expenses I’m sure. Seriously what is the point? You might as well just purchase a regular house. Much better quality and value for your money and a much better investment.

    Get rid of the dark cabinets with floors. Natural maple or natural white oak would be ideal.
