  • Hi folks,
In this video you will see a restoration of an old hedge shears. I got this from my parents-in-law. This hand tool is very useful for my garden. We are doing things like rust removing, painting and some other satisfying work steps. We tested super glue for the first time.
Did you see our latest project already? If not please follow this link for more satisfying tool restoration moments:

Beautiful restoration, I love seeing tools like this being brought back to life! Having a sandblaster would have taken hours off my hedge shear restoration i must invest!

I have seen the restoration of too many vices and wrenches... What I like is that you find different things to restore (height marker, hand press etc.)!

It's impressive how much work you put in.
The last time I polished something this intensively I was 15 years old.

Excellent work mate. I test my hedge clippers out on the bamboo in our garden. If it will cut bamboo, it will cut anything. 👍🇦🇺

You revived a pair of His hedge shears and killed a plant with them!!😭😭😭😭 It brings back memories of when my husband and my son killed all my plants while I was away. Seriously though wonderful restoration I loved it! I was worried at 1st that you were going to throw the handles away and make new ones but you didn't and that makes me very glad. Love your channel I'm just catching up on all the ones I haven't seen yet!!

As good as new, if not gooder. 😉
I saw on another channel an easier and faster way of getting the burnt lines on the handle. He put it in his pillar drill and used a tight wire to get the marks.

It seems as though the newly restored tools look so good that one would hesitate to use them. Is that a good or bad thing? IDK.

You would have found the handles easier to mark if you'd popped them on a lathe and used a bit of cheese-wire to burn them while turning.

    • @thisisrestoration1983

Yes I know but unfortunately we do not have a lathe. So we have to be crerative.Greetings
