However the thing to point out most interesting is like how someone pointed out if someone with the silver tongue trait comes along they could rope the marshal into killing goodies making an ez dub.
I agree, but at the same time, the people have to agree and all vote someone up. So if the Marshal goes nuts, people don’t have to vote with them. But, these guys also like to go with the bit, so they more easily abuse roles like this.

Maybe something like this? "Collect unused noose" as a daytime option. If the town didn't have 3 trials that day, it'll let the marshal store one spare noose away. (EDIT: Or maybe it only works if there was a trial where the accused was pardoned? But still only +1 spare per day.) Limit of three spares can be saved up. When a tribunal is called, anywhere from 1 to 3 executions will happen depending on whether the marshal had 1, 2, or 3 spare nooses saved up. (So day 4 would be the earliest that the full power of the role could be unleashed.)
Less overpowered and more of a gamble. You and the other townies have to pay close attention or the evils can hijack the tribunal, and it can easily end up with 3 townies dead.
no WAY the Marshal doesn't get nerfed by the end of the month, holy moly! that role feels tailor-made for trolls, and chilledchaos, tho i suppose i'm repeating myself there. that Prosecutor clutch at the end of Chilled's Shroud game was absolutely insane, and had me grinning from ear to ear. so satisfying, even if it meant Chilled's loss. the Socialite seems fun and quite interesting! but the fact that a jailed person might not know they're jailed because they're simultaneously invited to a party - that's HYSTERICAL. i also dunno how long that's going to remain the case, surely it's going to cause problems... but maybe they're the funny kind of problems and thus worth keeping haha.
I think it should only become available after day 2. especially when it's new and in this lobby people get put up with barely any sus. going out as a neutral or losing a coven member on a dumb vote day 1 is just bad for people's content. In that shroud game, Bryce (who was coven 8 out of 11 games this session) was voted up with no sus whatsoever, screwing over his teammates. X33n was never given the opportunity to pirate. you can laugh about it "oh yes we got the baddie out by dumb luck" but that's not something to celebrate. The only reasonable hang here was Ze who got voted up as soon as he voted for the VIP. The rest was all random.
Just realized; the Marshal is meant to be town’s answer to multiple apocalypse characters triggering at once. That’s why it seems so OP here. In a game mode with more passive interactions and less clues like appoc would have it would be more of a last chance gambit to get something like Death before the instant game over
Did LASIK about 6 years ago and it's been really life changing as someone who grew up with glasses. It's a really surreal thought to think that I used to have to wear glasses and couldn't do a lot of stuff I can do now. Plus the sensation of your eye flapping open and defocusing like you're taking the lens off of a DLSR camera was pretty cool. 10/10 would do again.

In the second game the setup you have is two coven and a traitor, a neutral evil and a neutral killing. In a worst case scenario, the NE comes up pirate, both coven can kill and the NK kills as well, there would be 3 town if only town were hit, and if one of them was a traitor Marshal the coven could blast out the neutrals and one townie, leaving one townie alive vs the whole coven on day 2… that seems kinda crazy, and requires specific other criteria, but it’s actually an outcome that marshal can cause.
Don't know if you will see it Chilled but I support you getting Lasik. It is honestly the best decision I ever made having the procedure done and it was extremely quick recovery as well.
The town- a Marshall, a mayor, a monarch, a jailor, and a prosecutor all others random town The coven- jinx, conjuror, one town traitor Two jesters and two executioners And watch the paranoia ensue
Marshal is pretty powerful when town has a jailor too, but it seems somewhat balanced for your lobbies, since you guys tend to do lots of coven/neutrals. (it's hard to get the votes when not everyone is town) Although imagine a town traitor marshal or a tribunal that hangs a jesters or exe target, you'd be down 4-5 people in one day.
We do love when mods get added properly into future versions of the game, like Marshall being added from BetterToS Marshall having no Judge to counter them is a bit problematic though... At least not yet.
Marshall definitely isn't a role for smaller games. The 3 kills is probably good for a full game, but not a partially filled one. It might be good to add a house rule for these smaller games that you can only vote up 2 people.
lasik is the greatest thing that could have happened. the procedure is the safest in america. the first couple of hours burns like acid but after the first day you can see clearly. i would get it done every five years if it meant seeing clearly like i do now.

Devs went "screw it" when they decide to add a modded role into the base game. Their mistake was not adding the countermeasures from said mod to not let marshal be OP. Right now its hurting the game more than both D2 deputy shots and D2 Prosecutors pros'd(who also got a massive buff). Evils are kinda screwed now.
Marshal makes for faster games... unfortunately the marshal can end up hanging three towns. It is the chaos role of town, it can be the random shot doomsayer.
