Your video makes the K1Bis so clear and simple! We, your audience, would be so grateful if you could also include how to tink it. Same for the P1B. Thanks so much!
Thank you Hannah. Very clear instructions and lovely calm way of speaking. Learning this stitch for the green squares of the J W Anderson “ Harry Styles” cardigan for my daughter.
Hi, this was very clear and helpful, thank you! I am making a shawl and am curious, what effect would this have if the K1B row is a contrasting color to the row below (the one you are picking up in the K1B? Thanks in advance!
This will be an interesting effect - you’ll have a different colour on every other stitch carried up to the next row. Would like to see that! Happy knitting 🧶
Hi Hannah. I was wondering if you could do a knit 1 below on a stitch that was a yrn in the previous row. I have a pattern that is creating larger pieces of loose stitches. Help me please.
Ideally a pattern would want to stabilise the yrn in the next row with a knit or purl stitch, so it becomes a stitch rather than a wrap. I suppose it could be a k1b to achieve that, but then it's missing the point of the yrn, and actually knitting the stitch below it. I've not come across it myself.
Apologies, I thought you were watching the m1 video! So with knit one below, I’m not sure. I’ve not done fisherman’s for a while. I’d need to reknjt it to find the answer for you. See if you can find any answers elsewhere on TH-cam. I have a feeling that the first row might be usually a ‘plain’ row without k1b, but like I said, I can’t remember. Happy knitting 🧶
I have a problem with a pattern in which there's two such stitches one by one. There is a strap on a wrong side I can't deal with. This strap appears usually in such stitch but I was looking for a way to avoid it. So this video doesn't help.
Yes, because you're not knitting the stitch on the current row there will be some kind of looser yarn on the wrong side, so it's not really avoidable. It is unusual to have two of these next to each other without other stitches between them. Hope you find a solution for what you're knitting. 🙂
@Knit With Hannah yes, this night was a full moon and a lot of revelations. There were incorrect inaccurate scheme. In such situation there is a simple solution: the beneath row I just slipped these stitches. In this way I have much shorter stripes between them. And then in the description there is a cable made by these stitches, so this helps me to make the whole pattern tighter. This night I slipped instead of sleeping actually. Thank you very much!!

Yes tinking lots of different stitches is so useful. It could become a long video! I’ll have a think about how it might best work.
Happy knitting 🧶
Me and my Girlfriend have been knitting for a year now and you taught us a lot... We think you are the most cutest knitter on TH-cam

Thanks Neesha, yes I love it when you see more rows to connect the tiny stitches to larger pieces. Big picture knitting!

Hi Hannah. I was wondering if you could do a knit 1 below on a stitch that was a yrn in the previous row. I have a pattern that is creating larger pieces of loose stitches. Help me please.
Here is part of the pattern. P3, yrn, p4, p2tog, p2togtbl, p4, yrn, P3. Next row yfwd, k4, sl1, k1, psso, k6 k2tog, k4, yfwd
Sorry I messed up. The next row should be K1B, k1 9 times. Not yfwd

@@KnitWithHannah I wish I could send you a picture of the pattern
How do you do it on the first row
On the first row of knitting I’d use a kfb instead:
