If we had trouble communicating in the places we frequent, aka if English wasn't an incredibly pervasive and popular language spoken by billions, we would put more effort towards learning more languages.

They speak english norweigan and sweedish fluently, have a gd understanding of serveral oterhs, and besides those a gd understanding of how many others sound like, even tho they dont necesarily speak those fluently if at all, its gd enough to convince the poor victims in this elevator who dont speak them >D
