What a great video Captain Matt. You are just about the only person that I have watched that really explains the ins and outs of what you are doing. I do inshore fishing and Offshore from a RS245 Robalo and love offshore the most. It's been a few years since I was in the Keys fishing but would welcome an opportunity to come on down. Any time you want to just explore (that is when I find the biggest value in Fishing with a Captain) and you want some company, give me a yell. I even would welcome an opportunity to do a charter trip with you for some tasty fillets to bring back home to Sarasota County in Southwest Florida. I'm glad I found this channel of yours. Thanks, Tom
I was SO HAPPY to hear you say,you cut the gills after catching the fish, and bled this fish out!!! You can loose so much meat if you don't do this. I wish our local fish market would learn this easy common practice. Gorgeous snowy,Awsome size too Matt. Gotta come down and book. Tight lines!!!!
I really enjoyed this video and your channel Captain Matt. There are not enough content creators sharing how-to videos. Your video today gave a simple step-by-step approach to finding new spots. Much appreciated.
You definitely have some of the best videos. I subscribed right away. You really help those of us that drag our boats 6 hours there for a couple weeks each year as I'm getting ready to do.
Great video Captain!! I’ve always wanted to take the time to find new spots but never have the time to do it. Thanks for showing me how it’s done. Nice grouper!
Great content! I really enjoy stuff like this. Its great for learning-aswell as confirming what I think is a good place to try. Points, and back sides of ledges depending on current.. Great video Capt!
Thanks for tuning in! OK I have Garmin electronics on the vessel. I use the standard fishing chart most of the time. I have a paid subscription for the relief shading from Garmin as well which I use in conjunction as well.
Nice video Capt Matt. Nice to see the end explaining how you drift and explore. Do you have or would you make a video on swordfishing- how you drop you gear down, current, depth etc. even bait rigging. Do you keep your dolphin belly strips, etc? What you look for in swordfish grounds, depth, contour, etc. it would be great for those looking to give it a try. I’ve watched your videos catching them but would love a more detailed teaching video! Thanks- I’m subscribed.
I've thought about it but there a TON more stuff than any other type of fishing. I'm doing swordfish school today and tomorrow and spent over 7 hours on some basics just today.
Yes, the rack gets a coating of olive oil and a light seasoning dust, typically I use evergaldes heat. I smoke it, shread it off and do a light pan fry with the meat and use it on tacos.
*You are fishing very deep. Not my thing! Too much work! There are tons of Flag Yellowtail, Grouper, Cobia, Kingfish, Mutton much much closer than deep dropping out in "NO MAN'S LAND! DUH!*
Captain Matt
Enjoyed your video,great content .
Thanks 👍

I'm 72 miles from Key Largo.

She is the 336, 2024 Falcon

Nope! Very Stable!!
Ever cook the rib meat on grill?

Tony Little really let himself go.
Sure did!

Especially in the Sombrero reef area out to the drop off to the Gulfstream, grey fishing without all the work
She's definitely in no mans land!
I do some of that as well, but during summer when your hunting mahi and tuna and your already out there it gives you another tool in the box.
