After Graham Kennedy was sacked by Channel Nine, Bert and Patti Newton were the replacements briefly before Don Lane teamed with Bert to take over the mantle. This is as it went to air, including all the commercials of the time.

I absolutely lost it when Bert asked Irving on the phone if he wanted to talk to Patti and Instead kept talking to Irving in that falsetto voice as Patti! One of millions of laughs from Mr Bert Newton over the years, he surely will be missed!
