It'd been a long time since Tuck and Patti, now Samara and Pasquale are the keepers of the flame. On one hand, the guitar-voice duet and, on the other hand, incorporating the essence of late Master Barry Harris' musical hindsight and soul. Oh, my, so delectable, so balanced, they're smoothly on fire.
So different, that didn't occur to me. Love all four of them. T & P are still at it! My friend just saw them in Boston, and I think they have a new album!

Forgot all about Tuck & Patti; thanks for reminder.! But vastly different guitar styles. This guy’s far too good to be just an accompaniest, (sp?) still, glad he’s working. So nice to see performances again, after Covid ! Will look for more of this duo .!
One of my favorite vocal/instrumental performances of this Monk masterpiece. In my opinion, Samara/Pasquale duo is right up there with the Bobby McFerrin/Herbie Hancock rendition. Not better or worse. Both are fabulous.
Hearing Grasso on an (my best guess) pre-war Gibson versus a brand new Trenier highlights how great the Trenier guitars are. Also… Samara herself, and their musicianship, is just remarkable
