This is how you do a remake, remain faithful to the original while also changing enough that it isn’t just a graphical upgrade. I love that they made Ashley an actual character, instead of just an obstacle
It's amazing how this remake manages to get both reactions of "it's just like how I remember it" and "holy shit what is this new stuff this rules" Like those things never happen at the same time in a remake
From what I've seen from this stream, the RE 4 remake is how you should do a remake of a game. The stuff added to it was an improvement, didn't radically change things, and has its own unique charm from the original. Also, the attention to the smallest details is amazing. I hope the game keeps up this momentum.
I keep coming back to watch Phil's reaction to the first shooting gallery its just so hype, the initial hype at finding the gallery its self then starting the range and slowly noticing the music, then bonus time kicking in with the vocals and then the freak out after is just so intoxicatedly hype also getting giddy about the keychains being the 2004 is great too I really need to get this game soon!

I'm watching this Vod (after all the RE Lore streams) before I start watching The S+ Profesional, and yet I noticed the moment he Said "Man i will love to 100 percent this game." And that's when Phil made a poor choice of words...
I usually don't like games with more realistic artstyles, and prefer more cartoony things (like Pizza Tower) but this game I feel does it really well. The gameplay looks pretty fun from what I've seen as well. I've never actually played an RE game, but if this comes to Switch, I'll consider picking it up. EDIT: I've been converted to a RE fan but unfortunately I can't actually play any of the games because when they get ported to switch they're ported as cloud versions :( (I've tried the demos and they run horridly, there's over a second in input delay consistently)

There’s many scenery shots and lighting shots that I just go 🤩 at. Also I like how they added more lore to characters or made certain characters do more and how they changed Ashley’s character. She actually FEELS like an actual person in a threatening and possibly traumatizing situation and reacting in ways that make sense. It was great seeing your reactions to everything and hearing you have so much fun playing this Phil. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s stream either. 😊 Also RIP Bob Eggdo!

The RNG bullets plus the grenades being wildly inconsistent make this game a living nightmare to try to play hitless, and to get S+ on the shooting galleries. Today I learned that If Phil ever played Rainbow Six Siege he would die to a Frost mat 90% of the time.
