Did you check the pH and nitrate aswell?
I recently lost my breeding pair of German blue rams because my tap water had a pH of 9+ when normally my tap waters pH is around 7.5-7.8. So when I did a water change they both started breathing very heavily then the next day died. :/
Maybe the same thing happened to you? Might be worth checking the pH of the water next time

Hey Md im a vet nurse and sometimes when we medicate for certain parasites, the parasites have attached to the organs in the fish already by the time we do treatment. Therefore the medication helps to paralyze and kill the parasites, but in doing so they usually detach from the organs and cause massive bleeding internally, so all the fish basically go into cardiac arrest. U did nothing wrong

@@queenleprechaun1443 I would say it’s usually not the pet stores problem & the mungrel ones tend to die off as fry, livebearers are natural inter breeders it doesent tend to cause many issues when from breeders and even in your own tank . they only tend to last 2 years depending on tank temperature (hotter and they don’t last as long ) and are sensitive to oxygen deficiency/ CO2 overdose and water parameters being off over a long time . If you don’t have the full nitrogen cycle bacteria in your tank you may aswell write them off right away. First thing to learn is that we are always learning & getting better. It’s so easy to Forget that the water and the bacteria is your pet too; kill that bacteria and the fish would be better off elsewhere.

When you move any tools from one tank to another it is a good idea to clean it off first. I don't think this is what caused it and it is probably fine but since there is a chance it could cause future problems if any tank had a disease you didn't notice in time and since you educate others it is always a good idea.

Sometimes medication can end up killing the fish even if you put the right amount in this is most likely because of lack of oxygen the chemicals in the medication effect the amount of oxygen so next time I would suggest adding an air stone to increase the oxygen in the tank. what I would recommend next time is if you have any die take all the fish out and put them in a quarantine tank but if you can't then get a bag of carbon and hope that it can clear all of the toxins in the water.

Just lost 4 of my full grown Angels, 2 Tiger Barbs, 2 Cardinal Tetras and a Cory after I added some new fish to my tank( Rummy Nose Tetra, 9/10 died; and Cardinal Tetra, 2/11 died). Everything in my tank was perfect until I added the fish and I have no idea what happened. Perfect water, no parasites I recognized but now i know don't tamper with your already established tank. Also I bought the fish from my trusted store and added them properly and yes I called the store already to let them know what happened. Part of the hobby, it sucks.

I have been keeping all kinds of nano rasboras for years and I can tell you that stress is still the number one reason gets you fish killed. Moving the tank can cause stree as well as strong light and medication, just imagine when you combine these factors together. I made the same mistake before and I don't want anyone repeat my mistake again. Mosquito rasboras don't like strong light and they should be kept in large schools of at least 10 or more to reduce stress.
