Longtime AMC fan here. We had a few AMCs ourselves: a '62 Rambler Classic station wagon that my mother learned to drive on, a '68 Ambassador that I learned to drive on, a '74 Hornet that my sister learned to drive on, and we traded in the Ambassador for a '78 Gremlin that I drove for ten years. I still have two 1968 dealer brochures, one with the AMX and one without, so I knew about them even back then. I'd always dreamed about getting my hands on an AMX, and five years ago, that dream came true. It's a '69, Beale St. Blue with white go-pack stripes, 390 4-speed with Flowmaster mufflers. Lots of fun to drive and it turns heads. P. S. I used to live in Connecticut and am a UConn alum.
They are definitely different and something special. I can tell you though (you can check me if you like) the number badges they put on the dash were put on at random. It could have been the 5th off the line or the last.
I had a friend back in 1974 that had a 69 AMC AMX with a 390 c.i. engine, 4bbl carb and a 3spd automatic console shift. It was crazy fast. Just like this one, black with white stripes. Burn rubber all day long😎
OMG, that black with red interior is pure left-hook knockout!
As an AMC enthusiast - congratulations! All hail🙌🏼
Long live AMC muscle 💪!
You should see it in person.

Congrats on having the AMX. My college sweetheart had a Gremlin so I know the model well. Go Huskies!
Nice Car!!! You really did a great job here!!
Best looking car AMC ever made. Quick also.

You did an excellent job you should be proud enjoy it every day!
I paid 1600 for my 68 Amx 390 4 speed hurst in 1978. Car handled like a big go kart.
Bet it was fun!
