Man Kanye is like a kid in a candy store when people bring up real music questions. All the man wants to do is make art. All the other politic bullshit that fame brings is a waste of time. Kanye loves to be an artist and be confident at it, let him do just that.
it's actually quite awesome seeing him talk this way about music, it really speaks volumes on how much he loves music and working on his craft (what with the "drum practice" thing on one of his albums and that being his weakness)
Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds are incredible in this space. The morning show is a yawner, but when they are allowed to sit down, and really be themselves, and ask the questions they actually want to hear the answers to, many of these interviews are historical and unforgettable.
If everyone hadn't hyped him up and then beat him down with everything negative, Kanye could really ass something to the world. Go back and listen to College Dropout. Listen to Family Business. THAT Kanye was happy. IMO, The Kanye we know now, the Kanye Kardashian we know, the fashion genius..... None of that makes that dude happy. They're accomplishments. We all have some in a way of our own. At the end of the day though, Materialistic shit means nothing. Money is awesome to have but, all the shit you can buy will never make you happy. If you've ever had it like that, you'd know. Bring back that Classic Kanye! That Louis Vuitton Don in the kitchen on Dave Chappelle Kanye. That Jesus Walks Kanye.
What is it about Michael Jackson that literally turns every grown man/woman into a kid? Seriously whether it is the fears Kanya west, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Akon, Oprah, Diddy, Chris Brown...even James Brown and Sammy Davis Junior who were his idols... why does everyone gets super excited and humbled all of a sudden when asked about Michael Jackson?!!! Well like the wise man once said there is a celebrity➡️a Star➡️a Superstar➡️ a Megastar➡️ A Legend ➡️ And there is Michael Jackson. This is why all Level of celebrities, megastars and legends look up to MJ as a higher and untouchable King! Long Live the KING!!! I love you not only just for your magnificent artistry, it's more than that. I thank and respect you for the kind of inspiration you still are to me and hundreds of millions of people! The Greatest that ever lived! Long Live the King!
that's is what the media don't like and try to destroy....that inner childlike joy compares to nothing! despite all his greatness, he happen to be the most humble person (no amount of money, popularity, can buy humbleness) and that simply why MJ his the greatest. (some who could accept that his been taught) nothing to compare my dear friend. ✌
He was (star struck).. Prince just made it a point, to never let anyone appear to be better than him.. he went to MJ's shows.. was keen to know what he was doing, where and when.. after MJ passed Prince took it hard and even softened his tone about to allegations about MJ, drugs etc.. He, we learned had his own painful stuff going on... Life's a circle ..and yes Prince was on a high level.. He did his height his was..!
This one of the BEST interviews I've seen of Kanye ever & it's only 10 min. They bring out the best of him. I just wanna hear about the music, production, and the fantastic stories he has from back in the day. Stuff us real fans care about. On another note, the Yeezus concert was phenomenal. I'm not sure if I've ever witnessed something that inspirational firsthand.
THE best Kanye West interview ever conducted. Clears up some myth surrounding him and Dilla and other people, let's us know he's still his usual self despite all the idiots in media vilifying him and is overall entertaining.
+M1CHAEL JACKS0N I am a big MJ fan but rather he likes mj or not don't matter to me as judging him as person. He is saying he would fill Mj's place the gab he left... I was like dude wtf you don't even come freaking close! He is so full of himself... pfff he makes me sick!
P.S. This is shaping up to be the best Kanye interview in a long time. It's so refreshing hearing him get his hip hop nerd on and get into his history in this music ish. Rather than talking about Taylor Swift and fashion and Kim K. Great job, Rosenberg and Ciph.
In my opinion, one of Kanye's best interviews. Ppl gotta realize that they do it to themselves. If they ask about fashion, he's gonna turn up (rant) (whatever they wanna call it now.) they kept it all in the realm of hip hop and his experience coming up through this game. And that's why he was calm and collect. Shoutsout to Rosenberg and Ciph tho.
I can't lie man this interview is way better then sway and 105.1... its ok to ask him how he been acting lately with the media but it's how you ask him they keep asking him bull shit questions instead of asking him what he accomplish... good job hot 97
***** People like you really bother me sometimes. Because someone only cares about the music and not some other nonsense then they are dickriders? Not everyone invests their lives in celebrities and their antics. Some people just love them for their music and thats all they want to hear about. Why is that so hard to understand?
***** Nobody is trying to justify anything we just don't give a fuck. They clearly said in the beginning they didn't want to discuss any of his paparazzi or fashion shit. Just music. And that's what people like about the interview. Not everybody gives a fuck about celebrities and their behaviour some people just like and enjoy music and thats what they want to hear about. This is the only interview so far that has provided just that and thats why pple like it. I don't get how thats dickriding
Now, this was a great interview. It's nice to hear celebrities talk about music instead of gossip. Kanye is a true genius. Keep em coming. Great job guys! Much props from HTOWN.
this is the kanye content i like man... and i totally feel him on the drums part sumtimes gettin those drums to hit is the hardest thing. i can pick out samples and melodies all day but those drums gotta get the ppl GOIN!
2022 I've never seen this. Shorts showed me michael jackson liked Kanye voice part. Gas him up. I always liked kanye music even tho how wild he is. Kanye still jams
If you're a music nerd. You'll love this. This is what I want to hear when I watch music interviews. Not who he's dating...what's going on behind the scenes and the music!
This is the best interview in a long time....all these other shows asking him these stupid questions about paparazzi and why you screaming, why you this, why you that... Nah, in here they asked him dope questions about hip hop and shit we as fans care about... Good job.
i really hope they put the visuals up for this juan epstein podcast. kanye is a legend i just want to watch all of them instead of hearing. thumb this comment up so they could hopefully see that we want the video for this episode!
It's always great to hear other producers talk about Dilla. Kanye did that multiple times, he once said Dilla is like the Stanley Kubrick of hiphop and that Dilla's music is better than good pussy lol. I wish they asked him about the time Dilla asked him to give him a beat for his unreleased MCA album. The track they did together is out there and Kanye killed that beat. Imagine Kanye and Dilla making an album together just like Dilla and Madlib did... Man, that would've been amazing. I still hope Kanye and Tip will make like a Jaylib-type album someday
A minute in and i'm love. Love the style of this interview. It is such a relief from the other non-musical interviews. 8:12 YESSS giving me life. KanYe is a funny guy ...yo kanye son'd em 8:55 ouch
"Michael Jackson told me I could sing, FUCK ALL Y'ALL!"
Hahaha cracked me the fuck up :D

Normal people look up to celebs. Celebs look up to Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson and Prince were on another level
💯
Celebs are normal people
There is a Celebrity and Michael Jackson was a superstar
@Chrollo and Reverb RIP Prince

kanye chill af in this interview
yeah, the interviewers arent saying stupid shit to get a reaction out of him.
great to hear kanye just talk music with other music heads, this convo was amazing to hear.
Lol we just saw Kanye turn to a little kid talking MJ
a little kid with candy lol
Kanye is obsessed with Michael, he mentions/samples him in most of his songs. MJ is his biggest inspiration
Kanye killed that shoutout
Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds are incredible in this space. The morning show is a yawner, but when they are allowed to sit down, and really be themselves, and ask the questions they actually want to hear the answers to, many of these interviews are historical and unforgettable.
Kanye really seems like the coolest dude to kick it with.
If everyone hadn't hyped him up and then beat him down with everything negative, Kanye could really ass something to the world. Go back and listen to College Dropout. Listen to Family Business. The only star that wasn't as star struck was Prince ! Lol I guess cause he's on the same level

Shan Lovegood everyone loves Michael except the media.

I swear, Mike brings out the inner child of whomever he meets;) I've never seen Kanye so excited and happy in an interview!!

Ye on Juan Ep. I've been waiting for this my whole life. Please I hope this gets nerdy.
this is solid. actually about music.
Nice interview. An actual Kanye video about music.
It’s so crazy. I’ve never seen an interviewer ask him about music . And he’s one of the greatest producers ever .
Artist you mean?
I wait like 8 minutes to hear him speak about MJ and it's only for like 20 seconds.
Michael Jackson is the God of Music
In my opinion, one of Kanye's best interviews. Ppl gotta realize that they do it to themselves. That was actually a really cool interview! That shout out had me cracking up! hahaha
Wow, love this interview of Kanye. Nowadays it's an oddity to see him so chilled.
thats that fl studio drum technique
Now this is the Kanye that we all miss!
i wish all kanye interviews went like this one, straight up music talk, no tabloid bs.
BEST KANYE WEST INTERVIEW EVER!!! ALL THE RIGHT QUESTIONS.
I have always had mad respect and inspired by Kanye.. this just added up the intenseness
RIP Jared & Brian

FINALLY!! Best current Kanye interview yet. No hate, no Kim, just the music and good banter. Thank you Juan Epstein
Great point about his drums, they dont knock as hard but that makes it standout for me. They are warm and lofi.
That story about his step brother was interesting...
+Randy Washington -Yeah, never heard about his step brother until now.
Really great interview... Finally good to see Ye SOMEWHAT brought back down to Earth.
this the type of interview people want to hear..great work ciph and rosenberg.
This is the best interview he's been in all year.
agreed. finally an interview where he's not 99% spouting out bs about how awesome he is.
th3spy in the full interview he even discusses WHY he calls himself certain things like "michael angelo"
hands down the best piece of media put out lately interviewing ye.
These podcasts always have great interviews. Why do they always bullshit on all the other interviews?? Why not just keep it real all the time?!
podcasts are the future

@@BootyButterPi indeed they are..... predicted future 👍
All the Michael Jackson fan here from instagram
need a new interview where ye gets nerdy about his process and sound today
great interview pete
I remember there's also a story where MJ actually said he liked 808s when he called Kanye, he didn't mention it here though
yes MJ's daughter spoke about that
“I thunk myself” lmaooo
Best interview I've ever seen
say what you want about Kanye but he truly is passionate about his music. One of the reasons I like him
Oh man. Where can I hear this whole interview other than iTunes? Put it on TH-cam.
Loved this interview! Learned something new about me fav.
This is the best interview in a long time....all these other shows asking him these stupid questions about paparazzi and why you screaming, why you this, why you that...
