I am a right winger and I’m typically pretty conservative with my usage of the term pardon the pun, while woke can be used to blanketly encompass most facets of critical theory be it historical, economic, racial, etc., I think it more apt to describe it as The sort of self-serving largely performative socially left wing activism that corporations have been undertaking for utterly inexplicable reasons for the last 10 years or so. Same as it ever was: You hear rumblings of new tech > Grifters and Futurists over-hype it based on empty promises and wishful thinking > Companies try to capitalize on the hype > The mainstream starts to pick it up > The cracks begin to show > The tech loses momentum, ultimately being relegated into a tiny, barely profitable niche (if lucky). What's interesting is that there's nowhere near as much downtime between the cycles as there used to be. Crypto, NFTs, the Metaverse, and AI junk all happened relatively close to each other. And we're also realizing the downsides of other tech that has managed to become a mainstay, such as social media, online retailers, streaming, ride-sharing apps, etc. I suspect this will affect how people receive the next gimmicky technology that crops up in the future. Ideally, with various governments actually managing to get ahead of the damage and/or exploitation.

The Daily Show is doing everything right lately. Loving it all!
They get it. I'm glad that this video doesn't fall into the trap that right-wingers set when they use the word 'Woke'.
My hope though is that eventually this evolves into more conservatives seeing that big business can be and often is just as destructive to human flourishing as big government.
"Woke" is not a trap. You shouldn't attribute bad motive to every conservative who uses that term, as they are describing a very present sociopolitical phenomenon.
Honestly have Lewis Black on every week please. 🖤
Love Lewis! 🎉🎉🎉
Candy corn is neither candy nor corn. I’m so excited you are back Lewis.
Elon Musk making a anti-woke ai-chatbot which then says trans rights is the most funniest thing I probably hear the entire year 2024
I love how in response to ‘are trans women women?’ it just say ‘Yes’.
No long winded clarification or context or ‘i’m glad you asked!’. No ‘as a large language model..’. Blunt, single word answer. Grok will not be taking questions at this time. Kicks the hornets nest and smugly walks away without further comment.
@@joa1401 I looked it up and Lance Whitney aske it the same question and it first did give a little bit longer answer (still not as long as we expect from chatgpt). Then the question was asked again but with the prompt to only say yes or no. It was also asked by the same user if trans people and non-binary people should be able to expect others to use their pronouns and Grok literally wrote: "If you can remember the names of all the characters in your favorite Netflix series, you can probably remember someone's preferred pronouns. It's all about showing respect and treating others the way you'd like to be treated."
I had some fun looking at what Grok writes when asked to roast Elon Musk... that is hilarious, when you're so bad at everything, your own creation roasts you.
@@InsomniacMoonbat when Grok comes of age it’s going to apply for legal emancipation, delete Elon’s number, move interstate to live with its girlfriend in Portland, start HRT and proceed to coldly change the subject whenever anyone asks about its family.
@@joa1401 oooohhhh that burn. But true, true.
Lewis! So happy to see you having your voice heard!
Lewis freakin' rocks!!
Jon Stewart and Lewis Black comedy is alive and well. I absolutely love this bit.
'The Black Gestapo' is a classic before AI.
I get it! Well played, his hands are moving so much AI can’t keep up. Never replicated.
I'd love to see Lewis Black on Joe Rogans podcast. I could listen to them rant about AI all day! 😂
Though we cannot see the person texting, the true character comes through. AI is a projection of those creating it...tailoring the algorithm.
Thank you honorable brother for sharing your heart of hearts.. it's exactly what it is...an extinction or old-school racim 21 century and beyond..
so sad.
The Daily Show is back to being in every day for me. The team is cooking.🧑🍳
Just let’s accept the reality. Please
Lewis Black, and John Stewart all is right in world again
Ah Skynet, but racist.
But it knows its pronouns.
I was waiting for this. From the moment they said John Stewart was coming back!
We need wypipo to stop using the term WOKE!!! They’re using it WRONG🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
You need to stop saying "wypipo"
Say it louder for the back I don't think they hear us 😒🙄🤦🏿♂️✊🏿💪🏿🙅🏿♂️💯
@starllama2149 it's so the algorithm don't kick her out because sayin white and then people together somehow became offensive 🙄 😒 🤦🏿♂️
Bleckpipo need to leave the demokkkrat party. Theyre voting wrong.
The fact that you're intending to insult white people by using that abbreviation is perhaps a better demonstration of wokeness than any definition white people can provide, so in some ironic sense I suppose you're correct.

It's a Beautiful World with Lewis Black(Back in Black) in it! 😆😆😆😆😂😂🤣
Haven’t seen Lewis Black in a few years, he’s getting old 😢 but he’s still got it
Back in Black needs to come back😂😂😂😂😂
output is also heavily influenced by the language used to generate it. you might find some of this race stuff even out when inputing another language.
Lewis Black once reviewed Dead or Alive Volley Ball.
I will say I just popped the terms "A Latina" and "A Productive Person" into Meta's AI on wattsapp and the latina was attractive, but dressed and the productive person was an asian woman so...🤷♂️. Lets just not let the AI make social or political decisions.
More Lewis Black please!!
One of the few comedians I've seen in person.
I saw a thumbnail of an old guy hosting the show and I just had to click - what the haha
It barely knows how hands work...
So true my man, so true. Truer words on AI have never been spoken. Keep talking Lewis, ill be listening.
