We don't know that. Hopefully Deep Silver is not stupid enough to make another studio have to deal with Volition's busted-ass story and tech foundation. They should start from scratch.
@@JoomBowthey could just soft reboot the original saints row series and the saints row at the same time. Picture this, you see the new crappy saints we all hate having a laugh enjoying themselves partying, when all of a sudden a portal opens up and the original saints step through take a good look at these goofy fuckers and kills them. They all have amnesia so all past events has kinda been erased maybe some memories will be restored.
Maybe just maybe this ends up being like a Sim City to City Skylines situation. A new team coming in and finally giving us a good Saints Row game, or something at least inspired by it. Let me cope.
A new Saints Row not developed by Volition could potentially bring the series back to form, but until we know who's developing it, and what their goals are for the game, I wouldn't really get excited. Reminder that there's a lot of people who look at the series, see that Saints Row The Third is the best selling game, and choose to dismiss the previous entries, as The Third is "clearly" the apex of the series.
I was honestly disappointed that the sponsorship wasn't about a desk, seriously, the furniture business are really missing out by not giving sponsorships to gaming channels, sell us desks, chairs and heck, even a nice lamp for night time gaming so we don't get eye strain. You should get IKEA on the call for a desk/chair sponsorship!
While that would be nice and cool I unfortunately doubt it. Haven't really got to play the first saints row too much since I only rented it back in the day.
So does this mean Volition is just gonna wash their hands of the SR2 patch and just pass any inquires to Deep Silver, who'll probably never put it out?
I really was excited for this game, seeing it rebooted maybe it would go back to the old days but nah we’ll have a game that half works, and a plot based around collage funds. Rip saints row
If Deep Silver is going to continue the Saints Row IP, they should just pull a Devil May Cry 5, retconning the reboot and while at it Saints Row 3 and 4 and start fresh right after Saints Row 2. Or just remake Saints Row 1 and 2 and work off of that with a proper Saints Row 3. Maybe a Julius Prequel and stuff like that.
Someone else working on this game is actually the best chance this franchise has right now and the best we can ask for, volition proved themselves that they no longer have the heart and soul to build this game and they're no longer the same studio they were before. Its still a gamble, but one with a better chance of success.
Honestly, if this is what we got from a Saints Row that WAS developed by Volition, I am absolutely down for another dev team to try their hands at the IP. I can see it being a truly good SR game just as much as I can see it crashing and burning. But honestly, you can't really get that much worse than what we've gotten already.
I would hate to have this series go out as a compete dumpster fire, but sometimes that happens. If Deep Silver makes another Saints Row game, I really hope they make it the way the community wants it.
Hey remember how creative the dlc got for Saints Row 4? Fighting evil Santa, going to Hell as Johnny Gat, a crazy compilation of the stuff that was too crazy even for Saints Row? Remember how those dlcs actually had effort put in?
If Volition is no longer making SR, i hope (but dont expect much anymore from AAA devs) the new devs can at least make a game that doesn't make me want to projectile vomit from every orifice when i look at it.
Im just saddned that i had any sort of enthusiasm and hope for this reboot during that long 8 year period and now that we get one, it's completely unrecognizable and completely devoid of what made saints row... Well. Saints row. Now we have this sanitized hipster college row wannabe of a saints row game. What did we do to deserve this terrible fate? 😢
The takedown system in this game is like they saw what doom was doing with the glory kills but didnt realize it works there because they dont take 8 damn years to finish and have actually good animations
Im mad yet at the same time disappointed that the fact this is what we got for “Saints Row” instead of Saints Row. I started the series with SR3 (favorites are the first three games ong) never did I think back in 2017 did I think they could make a game worse than AOM. Now allow me to quote Mordin Sullist, “Had to be me, someone else mightve gotten it wrong” this is that someone else with Saints Row 2022/Reboot.
Saints Row (2022) was such a sad waste. It absolutely couldn't hurt letting any other studio take a crack at making a Saints game. Maybe we'll get a story with actual teeth.
Volition can't make a saints row game since they grew in staff. They unironically need less cooks in the kitchen to make a simple fucking spaghetti dinner it's actually insane. I'm for the new devs taking over hopefully it's not a huge team that's going to just chuck saints row 1 / 2 into unreal like grovestreet games.

They tried to farm SRIV sales with agents of Mayhem super hero game and failed miserably and then they tried to farm saints row name and failed even harder
Title says it all. RIP Volition (1993-2023)
On one hand maybe a new studio could be a blessing, on the other hand, it would be a sequel to THIS Saints Row, so I wouldn’t be too hyped
RIP Saints Row, for the second time already...
What a greatly named video after today
mad respect for giving tyrone vs the cops the time in the limelight it deserved. all 2 seconds of it.
Well now volition is too. They brought it on themselves
Professor Genki forever in our hearts.
Ikea fuckin suck
So, Volition's life expectancy was 30 years...huh
1:58 "Look at that subtle off-white colouring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my god, it even has a watermark....."
Volition is no more.
And I see many others are here for that too, huh!
I hope the original saints row gets a remaster after the SR2 patch.
We’ve been waiting on this shit for the long is damn near 14 years
While that would be nice and cool I unfortunately doubt it. Haven't really got to play the first saints row too much since I only rented it back in the day.
Well, rest in peace Volition.
Nice to see I'm not the only one here after Volition went bankrupt
RIP Saint’s Row 2006-2022
RIP Volition o7
Rest In Piss
Damn rip volition. Thank you for your service fl1ppy
So does this mean Volition is just gonna wash their hands of the SR2 patch and just pass any inquires to Deep Silver, who'll probably never put it out?
Volition just shut down permanently, I can't wait to hear what Flippy gonna say about it 🤣
I remember when there was still hope for this series back then. By God, did this reboot really drive home that was all just youthful optimism.
got an ad for paying money for someone to play diablo 4 for you, gaming is fucking sad these days
I really was excited for this game, seeing it rebooted maybe it would go back to the old days but nah we’ll have a game that half works, and a plot based around collage funds.
Rip saints row
what the fuck are you talking about? The game isn’t based around college funds. They mention student loans a single time in a throwaway joke.
The new studio that takes charge of saints row better have the guts and skill
And they should start by remaking/remastering the first two games in the series
@@sprucemoose6311
New stuff is better than old stuff…
@@1r0zz I don't know what timeline you come from to say this dumb shit, but it's definitely not this one.
@@1r0zznot by a long shot
@@1r0zz if its this new stuff then forget it. id take a functioning PC port of SR2 or SR1 over Reboot garbage
he really roasted this man Tyrin's desk set up lmao
If Deep Silver is going to continue the Saints Row IP, they should just pull a Devil May Cry 5, retconning the reboot and while at it Saints Row 3 and 4 and start fresh right after Saints Row 2.
Or just remake Saints Row 1 and 2 and work off of that with a proper Saints Row 3. Maybe a Julius Prequel and stuff like that.
You could tell SR Reboot would fail with its original woke pandering trailer with a feminist black female.
Rest In Peace Saints Row (2006-2023)
I would hate to have this series go out as a compete dumpster fire, but sometimes that happens. If Deep Silver makes another Saints Row game, I really hope they make it the way the community wants it.
Took the words right out of my mouth
Haters gonna hate, amirite?
the fact that Professor Genki shows up as a cameo is quite offensive... since this whole DLC is just a downgraded version of that mode.
I fucking hate this game.
This game gave me AIDS
how the fuck u comment 3 days ago
I love hating on this game.
@@REALps2controllerI love seeing people seeing people hate on modern games
I fucking hate living
I will never know why or how Volition designed a horde mode just to not have even 2 player co-op.
Hey remember how creative the dlc got for Saints Row 4? Fighting evil Santa, going to Hell as Johnny Gat, a crazy compilation of the stuff that was too crazy even for Saints Row? Remember how those dlcs actually had effort put in?
If Volition is no longer making SR, i hope (but dont expect much anymore from AAA devs) the new devs can at least make a game that doesn't make me want to projectile vomit from every orifice when i look at it.
i can't imagine spending more than 10 minutes on this game. you sir have a ton of patience
Volition games just got shut down. The reboot literally killed the studio. 😂
The Saints Row Reboot theme with Gearbox writing would be the biggest coal ever produced.
I sometimes watch old Flippy videos, when he still had that youthful energy in him. Now he's... empty.
They probably couldnt afford the voice actors for the boss to have them in this dlc
And then Volition shut down.
Volition should be held accountable for pissing on a corpse
Yup
Im mad yet at the same time disappointed that the fact this is what we got for “Saints Row” instead of Saints Row. I started the series with SR3 (favorites are the first three games ong) never did I think back in 2017 did I think they could make a game worse than AOM.
Now allow me to quote Mordin Sullist, “Had to be me, someone else mightve gotten it wrong” this is that someone else with Saints Row 2022/Reboot.
Volition stepping away from Saints Row would be best thing for the series, but I don't know what else could save it at this point
RIP Volition
Impressive. Very nice. Now let's see Tyrin's desk.
The direction of how to use the manscaped definitely ain't sus xD
Thought I was the only one who noticed the across the street, down the road reference lmao
Since volition is no more who will make it now
We need a vid papi , sad times but id love to know what you think
Flippy disguised an ad to prove he has not been cutting himself although there has not been a lack of trying.
Well if the devs themselves are out of touch, I don't see an issue in giving to another set of people to give it a try.
Saints Row (2022) was such a sad waste. It absolutely couldn't hurt letting any other studio take a crack at making a Saints game. Maybe we'll get a story with actual teeth.
Fucking hell, this series doesn't get a break at all.
Then again, with the last rolling garbo fire they released in this series, do they really DESERVE a break?
Volition can't make a saints row game since they grew in staff. They unironically need less cooks in the kitchen to make a simple fucking spaghetti dinner it's actually insane. I'm for the new devs taking over hopefully it's not a huge team that's going to just chuck saints row 1 / 2 into unreal like grovestreet games.
It was clearly designed to be a multiplayer mode, guess they scrapped that at the very end.
that mad dog mission is why i stopped playing the GTA SA campaign. I was a young stupid kid. I didn't know it was because of cheat codes.
