Thank you very much :) Isletus are amazing! subbed you back. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video, happy fish keeping
thanks! always will :) thanks for watching!
Grreatt video!. Could I add them with other cichlid possibly Oscar, JD and GT??
ROB M Thank you! And you could as long as the tank is big enough. A fully grown male midas will likely try to take over any tank 125g and smaller though.
Well I plan on getting him as a juvenile just like the rest of them in my 150 gallon for now. Hopefully it workout
great video i love midas cichlids
thanks! they are one of my favorite CA cichlids. i suppose this means my channel has cancer now... lol thanks for watching!
I have a midas that's almost completely white.
nice video lots of information
thanks! i tried to add in as much info as i can. :) thanks for watching!
Lovely Midas! I subscribed! Have a look at my amphs and now 15" parachromis motoguensis on my channel
Good informative video
Jon Davita Thanks for the input and for watching!
My midas lives with my oscar and my 2 african chiclids.
Mine is tolerable with oscars and pleco and with other bite size fish
cool! looks like you got a peaceful one. the person that had mine originally had it with a kribensis cichlid. thanks for watching!
Freshwater tanks mine just killed my Oscar and my convict cichlid
hey have u still got that jaguar cichlid and would it be for sale ? UK
I am not sure which jag you mean, I had my old one which passed away and currently I have a wild caught male. Sadly I in the US though. Thanks for watching!
patrick jullian I’m in uk with breeding pair of these and got jags and dovii
Skip has good fish in your region but not the best..good bloodline tho
info is off they can mix with loads
Some times you can mix them with the right set up, however the average aquarist who probably has a tank of only 75g-125g should not try to get too confidant about mixing them with many other fish when the Midas I fully grown. The best bets would be plecos, other armored catfish species, large fast schooling fish like tin foil barbs and silvers dollars and in a tank of 125g or larger you can do a pair or possibly one individual with one or two other mid sized CA cichlid species.
@@ASAPpetinfoso what about all these big central communities on youtube ,, just saying amphs paras viejas even hybrids all mixed ,, but yes ido agree 125 min for a pair , also chancho flaviolus are from apoyo , cits are from lago nicaragua , san juan rio tempiquese rio squerrez most nicaraguain crater lakes are all evolved species , also they form hi rackis so amph communities are fairly common easily achieved with a calm dominant fish ,,, just saying
Gaz gone native the people I know who have big Amphilophus communities are very knowledgeable and have been keeping for probably almost as long as I’ve been alive. Buddy Holland has a big Amphilophus community that does great, but you can’t just throw any random set of fish in a tank and assume they will do fine. He only keeps males in his tank because egg laying females would cause havoc in the tank. There are Midas that come from Laguna de Apoyo, however majority of the ones in the hobby are from other lakes and rivers in Nicaragua. Flaveolus and chancho are only from Apoyo though. This is a general care video for anyone who is in consideration of getting this species. And anyone who can successfully keep an Amphilophus community is already very knowledgeable and doesn’t need a care video at that point. For someone who’s just thinking of getting into this species I doubt anyone has any idea what it would take to make a Amphilophus colony. It would take a massive tank, a lot of sight barriers, extremely heavy filtration and a very punctual water change schedule. All stuff that people who would be looking for a care video likely are not capable of, hence why I keep the video to the standards and guided recommendations on how to keep this species with the best interest considered for the fish.
@@ASAPpetinfo .now if you use a lumper term the evolved species are all midas cichlids but a splitter term in apoyo there no midas just 7 evolved species ,, just saying 1 thing i will say is your passion is strong keep it up ,, regards gareth catterall ,
Gaz gone native oh no way, wassup Gareth. Long time no talk my man haha. Thanks a whole lot bro! I love what I do.
i think i have a red devil/ midas lookin thing i dont know but hes super mean
If it was labeled as a Red devil or a midas in a normal fish/pet store of some kind that would make it a midevil. If the full liege of the fish can not be tracked it must automatically be considered a midevil. Thanks for watching!
i posted picture on the team midas group
Is the post under the name Joey Gallo? I cant find any made posts made by you.
