i used to live in Tucson and rode premises skatepark everyday. I had the absolute pleasure of getting to see Kevin ride and constantly blow my mind with his creativity and skill. I challenged him to to a game of bike but he had to have his eyes closed for every trick and this man wiped the floor with me lol/ i have always known he would one day be realized as one of the best to ever ride a bike.

I use the J-hop 180 bar in a lot of GOB.... Fun and also really difficult. Edit: Props on Kevin's unturndown... I fkn love that trick, it just feels right for some reason. 😁
It is weird looking back on it, but I learned bars with the weird double hop, which was terrible. I did not catch them before I landed, and it took so much effort to relearn them so that I did. I now avoid doing them because of the memories, basically, aha. [Side note: I am fairly sure "J-hop" is actually a weird name for the most common hop, front wheel up first, then back (I remember from when I watched wikiHows on how to do them in the library like 15 years ago; and those videos are essentially the arbiters of the meaning, because no one else uses it, aha). I think "Bunny hop" is a catch-all for most hops, the "simultaneous hop" (both wheels at the same time), or the J-hop - but not the "endo"/"endo hop", as it was once called, or - now - the "nollie" (a much better name, and cool to see BMX take some influence from skateboarding in such an explicit way).]
