Thanks for a good clip, but I think you're forgetting a big and very dangerous group in Sweden, the Hunters! There are today about 300,000-400,000 hunters in Sweden with their own weapons that they have trained with for many years, they have extremely good skills in the forest and on the ground. But most importantly, they have all been trained to kill. Of course, there may be a big difference between killing a moose or a human, but that's just an assessment of the situation. Many of these hunters are connected to the Home Guard already, but imagine trying to infiltrate a country with 300,000 snipers who know everything about their lands and forests, it must be a nightmare!
iirc I read long time ago before 2022 that russia systematically wiped out hunters in donbass and donetsk... they knew that part, dangerous to leave them roaming free in occupied zone.
Each battalion does its own thing as I understand it. Personally, we walked up a hill/mountain with very steep slopes (had to drag ourselves up with ropes at a few places) and when we came back down we had to hit reliably with our servicerifles at 50m. And each year you have to do basic marksmanship. Important to remember is that this is a "militia" at its core. Its a fighting force made up out of ordinary citizens.
You must have done Swedish military service to join the Home Guard. But you can become a specialist in voluntary organisations. Example medic, driver Etc
Have you done any validated basic military training and have Swedish citizenship, you can join the homeguard. Validating the training can sometimes be tricky.
No, it's a huge thing in the armed forces at the moment. And it took our career troops for a spin. Only a couple of days after the AK6 family was revealed, it was announced that the army was to be equipped with the AK4 until the AK6 was put into service
@@SkruffyTalez_TheWarzone thought the same no point change but i check a little now next year the new sniper riffles start beeing delivered and 2025 new AK 5.56 and 26 new AK 7.62 according to FMV, but often things get delayed for diffrent reason so time will tell
@@KarILsson I guess it could be that the Finnish defence forces will be equipped first as it is Finnish Sako manufacturing them... just a guess though.. I do like that they get that a 7.62mm is needed with some more penetrating power as bodyarmour is on all soldiers today. Well, some ruZZians had chinese armour against soft airguns, but that´s a totally different story... ☺
No they are not many but don’t see them as soldiers, they are a well trained and extremely well armed partisan movement. They are a guerrilla or a domestic terrorist movement. They do train with the regular army but is tasked with making as much of a mess for an enemy in their own neck of the woods. So they are not meant to win a war, they are meant cripple an enemy.

Only personnel in the army who start using AK4 again is the sharpshooters replacing the AK5B with the AK4D.

I'm not sure on the time line. But if it's next year, I don't see the point of switching to the AK4. It's probably going to take a while

20 thousand doesnt sound a lot. Equates to what many countries have reservist, veteran army organizations with some minor training.
