Watching this, I'm amazed how Ludovico Einaudi managed to squeeze such beauty in so few notes. I think even I would be able to play this with a little practice.

This song was at my friend's funeral. I' going to learn this but I'm not sure if it's gonna heal my soul or harm it even more.
It'll be a hard learning progress since you'll think about him every time you play it, but eventually, when you have mastered the song you will have mastered your feelings and it's one of the most satisfying and protective feeling i know of. i have had this with Nuvole Bianche (which is on my channel if you'd like to check it out), it's a hard progress but it's totally worth it after all the work is done.

@@marinecrea2885 J'ai des petites mains et j'arrive bien à jouer des bons morceaux où il faut "écarter" les doigts, j'ai 12 ans . Au début tu vas te planter et faire la note d'a côté et petit à petit le tir va se rectifier et tu vas avoir l'habitude de faire la bonne note ! :)

It's a dark music, in the begginning of a film (Intouchables) and the scene is a guy going to the hospital with his friend who's dying... No, that's not happy :p -and sorry for my bad english, I'm not sure it's perfect ^^-

He's not actually dying, he's just acting like he is so they have an excuse for driving so fast :)

I've been looking for this song for so much time lol, and i found it by hazard, thanks Universe x) !
After listening to this I always thought it sounded more 'empty' sounding. At first I thought it was the added effects of the original. But after listening carefully, im sure there are more notes, espcially the bit from 1.02. Im sure there should be extra notes on the left hand. Am I right or am I just hearing things?
In fact it seems like there should be a recurring c# and E in the left hand throughout the whole piece. Im sure thats whats 'missing'. Blaahh either way I cant be so sure unless I try and learn the piece and the added notes I said, but my pianos packed away atm LOL
When you listen to pieces recorded on Synthesia, it always sounds more empty, Theres a huge difference between the Electronic sound and the sound of an actual grand piano. I have listened to both this one and the original, and I have to say that I am somewhat agreeing to what you say here, though, I am not entirely sure if its "just" the way he plays it.. I guess I will have to learn this one and test it, the same way you suggested :P

Its thy typical minimalistic style of Enaudi.. I think its a little too boring. For hearing it once a time its okay but the audience wouldn't be so happy to hear this.
I find it mesmerising. It's not necessarily complex or difficult but it is beautiful and I can listen to his music for hours on end.
Thats probably why hes not playing those pieces alone on his concerts, always some strings playing along.

Geschälte Ananas Just check out "minimal music". That's basically what it's all about
The problem is not the "minimalist", this music looks like a bunch of notes and chords put down just to fill the paper. the AIR are minimal but they reach a point in their songs this music don't. Einaudi has good music but the majority is just cheap.

Honestly I don't see the greatness in this piece. Like this is the kind of stuff I play when I improvise on my piano. The only hard part is writing down the music, But I mean playing this really isn't hard, and doesn't seem difficult to think up something like this? I mean it's a good piece, but are there any other players out there that feel the same way? Like I think up really good music I just don't have the time & knowledge the write it down correctly. Does this seem easy to create, or is it just me?

Yeah man, every pianist who play piano for a long time should know how to improvise something like this but the most difficult thing is to make the sheets correctly.
a song shouldn't be complex as a person who plays piano and knows butt fuck on writing music, it's not the complexity of the song, it's the way the person feels after hearing it or playing it.
yes exactly. it's not about how easy or hard it is to compose a song like that. it's about how it makes you feel. if people find it boring, ookay but it's a great piece of music anyways

Lol... I was bored. My dad shouted at me that I was wasting my time. I remembered this song from "Les Intouchables" and I wanted to play it because I am such a try-hard badass. I found this video at 18:34, more or less. And here I am now, it's 0:07 and I just finished learning that lol
