You know it good when Keith is rendered speechless! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a reaction like this from him! Jelly Roll is the real deal & unapologetically himself! Him and his wife BunnieXO are the best!❤
This was absolutely fantastic song and a spectacularly good reaction it was hilarious to watch Keith get the smart mouth just knocked completely out of him with two words.
I think this might be my favorite reaction from y'all. The way Keith's entire demeanor changed in less than 3 words was epic. I heard "Son of a Sinner" first and was blown away by his voice so i went looking for something else and found this song and cried like a baby in the parking lot of my gym. I have watched loved ones deal with the exact emotion he describes. He conveys it so beautifully and fully that your heart just breaks. Oh and I'm WITH YOU on Comfortably Numb!
Middle of the day at work and I am crying like a baby. Thanks for helping me discover something amazing. I am going immediately to hear more from him. Amazing voice. Wow.
If you have not been told yet, his momma lovingly called him Jelly Roll when he was a youngster. Jelly even has stated he was a larger young boy and always been on the heavier side. Grew up outside of Nashville TN and as a teenager became a drug dealer. From age 15 to age 24, he spent those 10 years in the revolving door of the juvenile jails. He was involved in a crime that he was tried as an adult at age 15 and sent to adult prison. When he found out he became a father one day, he decided to change his life. Signed up and earned his GED before he was released. Started burning cd’s of his rap music selling them right off the spindles. Built a solid rap reputation and then found out he could actually sing, with Save Me being his first #1 and he has caught lightning in a bottle and has become Grammy nominated artist twice and has had several songs #1 on the rock charts and #1 on the country charts at the same time. Jelly Roll told God that if he helped him provide a future for his daughter, he would give God the stage every night. If you ever decide to go done his rabbit hole, you will find a very humble man working his ass off to create his dreams. Jelly Rolls first album was Whitsit Chapel the small Baptist church he attended in his younger years. Awesome story to know and share.

First time watching the channel and loved watching you guys eat your preconceptions 3 seconds in. Much respect to to the "comfortably numb" comparison as I couldn't agree more. Jelly Rolls story is absolutely amazing, He's an amazing artist with such a broad spectrum of genres. This gentleman as killed it across the board and deserves any and all the success he's achieved. I am not sure you'll enjoy most his other tracks though might be a little out of your wheel house none the less the bourbon aspect definitely brought me on board! like you guys I'm open to hearing what you guys are all about and excited to go through some of your videos....
Great song and a great artist. He really turned his life around with the help of his wife. He went from being in and out of jail and being in and out of drugs to selling out arenas and stadiums. Some others I’d recommend from Jelly Roll are… Son of A Sinner Need A Favor Dead Man Walking
For reals this time. I really appreciate the direction he has taken his music. He wants it to help people and give them hope. A couple of others that I really like are "Son of a Sinner" and "Need a Favor". The comments on his videos show that his music is making an impact from all the comments saying that his music saved their life. He did a live performance of this song with Lainey Wilson and it brought a totally different dynamic to this song that I didn't know I needed.
John Popper mixed with Chris Stapleton! Oh my God, that is the perfect description! I think without looking his band was the Blues Travelers. Jelly Roll had a tough childhood with a mom who struggled with addiction. He spent years in and out of jail before coming to realize he wanted more. The performance of him and Craig Morgan live doing Craig's song Almost Home is a must.😊
Son of a Sinner, by Jelly Roll. It was his first single in country music, and it was on the charts for like 20 weeks. I get chills everytime i hear it. Live is the best. I would recommend his performance on the Jimmy Kimmel show. The sound quality and his performance are incredible!!! Love the channel!!! You two are hilarious together.
"We're gonna start this over and I'm gonna shut the fuck up" Bwahahah! When I saw the song, I knew how this was going to go. Keith not touching his bourbon during the song was very telling. Jelly Roll blew me away first time I heard this song. Great Vid!
Great reaction guys!! My husband sent me 'Dead man walking' and I.. felt it. So I listened to the next song, this one, I was crying before the 1st verse was done. This song is on one of my play lists, all the songs are dark, deep and highly emotional. It was a no brainer to add it.
Your very welcome. And you don’t need to thank me. I wanted to see their faces when he starts singing. To see Jelly Roll live in concert is on my bucket list now.
I was listening to the intro and ya'll picking at the beginning of the video giggling to myself knowing he was about to knock your socks off and I must say that I was NOT disappointed! The looks on your faces when he started singing! Priceless! 😂😂😂
Lol! I love how quick y'all both shut up & paid attention to Jelly Roll! The live version of him & Lainey Wison singing this song together is just as good! I'm gonna love watching your facial expressions on that version too! Lol! Need more Jelly Roll! Do youselves a favor & react to more of Jelly Roll #INeedAFavor #SonOfASinner. I have to admit I watched your reaction a couple times. Lol 😂 I loved it and I’m still glad I did good with the song. The bourbon was all Stephen, so part of the home run was his doing. You should seriously stop judging the book by the cover before you give someone a chance and I hope this song is a reminder of this. Glad you pushed play after the first few notes and really gave him a chance.
This guy spent 5 years in jail as a young kid in a gang. He came out & was into Rap & Hip Hop & was successful, I guess. Then he switched to country & he's special, like Chris Stapleton. His newer hit 'Need a favor' is awesome & the video powerful. He has been welcomed warmly & performed on the last country awards show & sang this one with Lainey Wilson (The gal who sang with Hardy on 'Wait in the truck'). 'Son of a sinner' is the first one I heard from him. Love this guy.
@@benyola11 and honestly if you only have 2 comments on there channel and you are judging them then please don’t comment. They were being themselves them heaped praise down on the singer. So I am guessing you feel like a black sheep calling a black sheep black?
Don't take this wrong Keith cause I love you brother, but I was glad when you said "I'm just gonna sit back and shut the f**k up", because you were clearly judging the book by the cover, which is common amongst people who haven't heard Jelly sing. Not mad at you, just let that be a lesson in life. Props to the channel.
Been a fan of Jelly Roll for years. Originally I had heard him do a ten minute freestyle rap on TH-cam over 10 years ago. His music is beyond rock or country or rap, all of which he does exceptionally well. His last album was more rock oriented and every song on it is excellent. I would consider it the best album in any genre in more than a decade. A Nashville native, Jelly is best friends with Struggle Jennings and good friends with Upchurch, Adam Calhoun among others. A good song to react to from him is his collaboration with Struggle on the song 'Cowboys' which is a take on the Waylon Jennings song 'Mommas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys'. As much as I am a huge fan of country music in all of its forms I personally listen to more of the many earlier Jelly Roll rap songs due to his unique talent. Songs like When I get Rich, Fall in the Fall, Creature and 🎶"Yippee Kai Yay, Yippee Kai Yo, the weed made me high, the liquor made me low"🎶
Jelly Roll has another version of this song with Lainey Wilson, Also check out Jelly Roll song , music video "Need A Favor" the music video will get to you.
You should check out Alabama's performance at CMA Fest 2023. They won a lifetime achievement award. Keep in mind one of their band members passed away this year, so there are a couple of unfamiliar faces, but they are still awesome.
You guys should check out Jelly Roll and Craig Morgan's performance of Craig's song, 'Almost Home' at the Opry. Jelly said that while he was in jail, listening to 'Almost Home' changed his life. And you can't go wrong with Craig Morgan.

Son of a sinner is my favorite song from him
I could say something funny about Dustin’s wrist being hurt, but I want mention popping the weasel and hitting himself in the face 😂😂😂😂
And now you know what all the fuss was about.
Yuuuuuuuuuuup. - Keith

John Popper, lead singer of Blues Traveler 😉
Great reaction. Your initial reaction was just like everyone's.
The live version with Lainey Wilson is hair raising!
Yall Got to do Almost Home with Craig Morgan!! OMG
Yes and Jellyroll talking about how that song changed his life.
I know right!! To sing THE song with THE Artist. Amazing, chills!
Jelly Roll CMT NEED A FAVOR
You guys should check out Jelly Roll and Craig Morgan's performance of Craig's song, 'Almost Home' at the Opry. Jelly said that while he was in jail, listening to 'Almost Home' changed his life. And you can't go wrong with Craig Morgan.
Jelly roll! the most true outlaw country and just music in general! Him, struggle, and tom could be the 3/4 new highwaymen!
Lmao. That will shut them up!!
Jelly is beyond talented. 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
This song is breaking my heart
