Well done Ally 👍five Munro’s that was a tuff one especially with the dreaded midges , loved the views when you got them through the clouds and the music, thank you for taking us on your journey 🤗
Thanks again Janice such a beautiful place just those midges that were a pain but think if i go back i will go in the colder weather, was a long route but really enjoyed it and the weather stayed kind again. ATB Ally 👍
Hi Paul thanks for following along , Glen Affric is a stunning place was my first time up there and the munros were a fantastic walk just the midges that were a pain, looking forward to getting out on my next trip. ATB ALLY 👍
🤣 Hi Fiona that was a hard old day i was done by the 3rd one but just had to keep going and so glad i did. it was a cracking route with great scenery but a long day and those midges were unreal cant wait to get back up there but will be out of midge season i think 😂 ATB Ally👍
Big round Ally and well done sticking to your plans. Very moody at times with the cloud swirling and glimpses of those great views. Lovely Glen but hell on earth for midges, I remember it well bah! Great video again. Thanks for sharing. Take care. Mick.
Had a great day Mick and one of the most stunning glens but think it will be out of midge season when i go back, the views were coming and going but stayed dry landed lucky as i was driving out the glen i got hit with torrential rain. ATB Ally 👍
Hi Ally - great video. I'm just revisiting it after I just done Tom a' Choinich today. I'm completely knackered and had to bail out at the bealach and skipped going up Toll Creagach. You must be a real Superman having taken the five of them in one long go. Well done. And I'm enjoying a midgie free Glen Affric the noo' There were still quite an amount of snow lying on the eastern crags of Tom a' Choinnich and also on the summits further away. I can see how taking 'Tom' & 'Toll' after Carn Eighe saves a lot of climbing up the steep crags of Tom a' Choinnich. But even getting down to the bealach was hard going, zig-zagging our way down slowly.
Hi glen affric has to be one of the most stunning places , doing the 5 was really tiring after the first 3 I was contemplating to miss the last 2 out but as I was up on the ridge I just thought push on as was going to have to go down past them was so glad I did , but cant wait to get back up to get the other 3 further in done. ATB ALLY 👍
Hi Charlie really enjoyed the day the weather stayed dry as well just the midges that were out in force , had been wanting to do this route ever since watching your video glad i did it as was a really good route. ATB Ally 👍
Well done Ally on getting the 5 done, that was a long day. Love the views when the clouds are hanging about showing off the tops. Was in Glen Affric yesterday but fell off my bike as I was reaching the hostel and fell down an embankment and batttered my ribs against a rock, had to cycle all the way back next day without complete in any munros, was raging😡😡 Well edited vid again Ally.👍 ATB Frank
Hi Frank that's a bummer hope you are doing OK your not having much luck the now with your last injury aswell, an absolutely stunning glen and the munros were just as good it was a long route but was glad I done them all just as I got down the weather turned to torrential rain timed it just right, think if I go back up it will be out of midge season they were horrible. ATB Ally 👍
Absolutely cracking day Ally! Thats a big round and not to be taken lightly! Ive still got these three to do. Was up there the other day and did the three from the hostel. You seen Franks comments about his fall. The midges were horrible at the hostel and followed us all day! Wee feckers. Probably be next year before i go back but good to see your route! Brilliant mate! Paulo
Hi Paul had a fantastic time up there beautiful glen and scenery , i stayed in the van just by the bridge at the big park up area and got attacked with the midges all night that has to to the worst I've see them think i will go back in the colder weather to avoid them but apart from them had a great time . i message Frank yesterday and he said that he fell of his bike and missed out on the trip up the hills he's not had much luck with the injuries lately, hopefully he will be on the mend soon and get back out, looking forward to see your footage Paul as i still have the other 3 to do. ATB Ally 👍
Well done on doing the 5 Ally.Deffo looks the same day i was up there doing the Carn Eige 3.Think with u starting earlier and with a different ascent route that is why we never bumped into each other.I only met one guy all day and he did say he passed someone who had started early.Maybe that was you he met on the ridge with the pinnacles or Carn Eige after as he was travelling in the reverse route to us?🤔 Midgies were bad eh,lol.😱🕷🤣🎉
Hi Andy had a brilliant time up there and the weather was kind again the views I missed at a few of the tops were rewarded on the others great place apart from those midges they were a nightmare, that must have been the guy I was talking to bumped in to him at the pinnacles that was a bummer I was in front of you would have been nice to meet you. That's twice near bumped in to you I was on ben alder last year when you were on the other 4 your bike was next to mine at the bothy I noticed it when I watched your video a few day's later. ATB Ally👍
Hi Ally, great video. I did these the other week when Paul was up there. I had clag on the Mam Sodhail then it cleared after that for the rest of the day. I jist did the 3 but did think about popping the other 2 on. I ended up doing them the next day but its pretty much the same walk with the sa😮me views as the previous day. ATB Andy
Hi Andy amazing scenery up there just those midges that were a pain but i landed not to bad with the weather as when i got back to the van it ended up torrential rain, i had always planed to do the 5 but was really feeling it on the 3rd was having a tired day, i thought about just dropping down but when i thought about having to walk passed the last 2 on way down i just had to push on and get them in glad i did as you said the scenery would just be the same. just going to sub to your page 👍 ATB Ally
