    really need to go with a sealed agm battery or a h6/7/8/9 style with a vent tube out of the vehicle. lead acid batteries off gas while charging and it can be deadly/explosive. XS batteries would be a good option, or for more of a budget choice, 2 H6 agm’s would be comparable to what you have now.

      I agree, for some reason never really liked the idea of a reg style battery inside

    Double check your terminal ends are in fact suitable for solder, most crimp-able ends are just for crimping and not for solder 👍🏻

    I done my battery cable harness similar with the crimper, before i crimped them and I know i didnt have to, i heated up solder slugs in the terminal ends and stuck the cables in and then crimped them all. Then heat shrink on every connection. On my junctions, soldered all and any connection for other grounds and exciter wires, then wrapped with 3m fabric electrical tape.
    Thats lookin good Greg, keep gettin it 👍

    seal batteries are better. lead acid batts vent fumes that you dont need to breath in

    I bought 2 of the extreme battery's from orileys and I left my phone booster on for 3 weeks and it ran my battery's dead and I tried to jump start it with another diesel and really good cables and it wouldn't start, took them back to orileys and they Said they couldn't be jumped like that from another vehicle they will only take a slow charge from a charger, I opted to get the next in line cheaper battery and they can be jumped if need be... just something to think about

    Any chance you could grab those dimensions of those battery mounts? Wanting to put a car battery in my sxs, and wanting a good mount that’ll fit… my fab skills are way off par… 😂

    Thinking taking step on my first Cummins. 16’ 2500 6sp but my worry is that it’s already been deleted and worry’s me because in all honesty I’d rather buy a stock emission Cummins. Any thoughts as what to worry in over 100k miles .?

    @Summer-pp8cu ปีที่แล้ว

    This is a problem with most batteries is the alternator needs to see rpm for an extended period of time to actually charge the batteries say 20 minutes on the highway at 60 to 65 or you could just put one battery on trickle don’t do both at the same time seen some goofy stuff from people getting paranoid🤦🏼‍♂️
