I have installed a virtual machine with Ubuntu on my Mac, then deleted it, but 20G that I dedicated to the VM in storage never returned back to my Mac, what do I do??? I completely deleted everything, even the VirtualBox now, still no luck. Please help! 😭
Your computer shall be freeze and you can't do anything. The One thing you need to do is remove the battery (for laptops) press and hold the power off button and plug off the computer (for desktop computer and battery removed or damaged laptop)
I have i3 10th generation prosessor with 8GB total RAM.... I want to operate Kali Linux and Windows 10 smoothly in Virtual Box..... Please somebody suggest me how much memory should I provide to Linux and Windows 10
I tried putting 3gb of ram on my vm once(i use vmware not virtualbox) my whole pc froze and i had go to safe mode to fix it i only had 4gb ram back then
@@googlewasmyidea3159it will work but i dont reccomend doing that... Maximum ram you should give is 1GB since if you give half of your ram (2GB) its possible for the host os to run out of ram
doing this may saturate the ram and kills the system causing it to restart, it can also freeze for a long time and you cannot do anything about it.
Thing is, I found this out the hard way...
For this to actually be ok just have 32/64GB ram minimum 16GB

Same here, I never could figure it out :( So sad!
Try these method:
1. Open MSConfig
2. Go to Boot Option then Click Advanced
3. Uncheck the Maximum Memory then Click OK

If i have 3 gigs of ram do i give it only 1? I mean it's not that good but my computer is 10 dollars, it has 2 cpus, 3 gbs ram and it's 32-bit

Yeah, for a host with 3GB RAM, it's best to stick with up to 1GB for the guest.

It's probably because of an old Windows Version and Virtual Memory

Go see if the virtualbox vm folder is still in your home folder. If it is, delete it.

Hi I have laptop with 4gb ram can I use vmware (with kali) by giving 2gb ram for windows and 2gb for vnware?
