Rich and Debbie, I stumbled across your video and loved it. It is awesome!! The village is just wonderful. Must have taken considerable time to set it all up. Brilliantly done! Warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year ahead!!
I just watched your video for about the 20th time and there is always something new to notice. The view from the train, the ski lift and especially the track around the tree, just magical. There are bigger layouts, but like the song says yours really captures Christmas. Thanks so much for sharing this!!
Hi y'all, I have literally known this man all my life, from elementary, through Jr. and Sr. High School... .last time I saw him was our 10th year reunion for Sam Houston Sr. High ( in 1985) until last December...when I finally got on FB and found him about 4 or 5 yrs ago, I watched his other Christmas Village & Train videos, & those were great as well! As great and spectacular as this one is, it's not like seeing the real thing! (sorry Rich, but it's true!) I was fortunate enough to see this, my wife and I when we were invited to their home, on December 15th, 2013...needless to say, it was breathtaking. I took pics but it's still not the same as seeing it in person. Rich and Debbie only put it up every other year, because they have to getting the boxes out of the attic starting in October!!! Thank you again Rich & Debbie for the invite last year, looking forward to it again... (Brenda will make more fudge!) Later buddy!
There are no words to describe how truly magical this is! Even though this video is from 2013, it inspires still in 2019. I'd LOVE a how to set up video as well as more "birds eye" from up top. To have this go through out the entire downstairs is brilliant!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Blessings to you from the great Pacific Northwest, Lakewood Washington! (think south of Seattle but better!)
Thank you Stacy. The last year we did the village was in 2015. Here is that video. th-cam.com/video/-9xe_UZeq38/w-d-xo.html Thanks again for stopping by!
Thank you for posting this video of this amazing christmas village! I got some ideas too! I'll be sure to use the candy cane car idea! I just want to thank you because you are a great inspiration for christmas village enthusiasts!
Thank you for the kind words. Here is the link to the last video that we will do. th-cam.com/video/-9xe_UZeq38/w-d-xo.html Thanks for stopping by..it has been fun.
Wow, great layout. Really well done. I'm particularly amazed by the structure you had to build for all of this to go on. You should show pictures or video of how that was made and set up because it's hard to make a temporarily layout look as nice as you did. I especially love the loop around the tree.
YESSSS!! Oh some kind of set up video would be AMAZING!! We have had a smaller village for many years but just got a train this year. We were unable to put it up due to a death in the family this christmas, but next year it will be up. Im so glad we found your video. SIMPLY STUNNING! A set up video is officially on my wish list. THANK YOU!
This is a really cool idea, love the PVC support pieces! The loop around the tree must have taken quite a bit to get just right and be sturdy enough without being obtrusive. Question - how is the shelf attached to the wall? I assume there's a simple L shaped bracket that goes into a drywall anchor, but how is it hidden during the off season?
Hi Bob, you are correct about the L brackets! We use small nails at an angle and that does the trick. When we take the display down we fill the holes and use touch up paint. As far as the PVC goes, the base of the supports are drains turned upside down. Thanks for watching!
Hello i love your video very creative i know how hard it is to make ill send a link to you of mine however its not even close to being as big as yours i wondering how long did it take you to set all this up?
Hi Mark, its an ON30 train on a HO track. I replaced the HO train to get a better scale to the houses. Guy wires and flat rods hold up the track around the tree. Glad you like it..thanks.
Rich and Debbie, I stumbled across your video and totally enjoyed it. Having made a few videos I know how difficult is to make one. Your display is fantastic, and the camera on the was a total surprise. We have Christmas and Halloween videos under Joe and Laura's Christmas and Halloween Displays. You can find them under my name Joe Gozzo if search for them. Thanks again for a great video! Joe Gozzo
VERY nice! Everything seems to be placed very nicely. Where did you get the cable cars and who made them? I'd love to get some sort of cable car system for my one display for next year (one can dream, right? lol). Feel free to check out my village display on my TH-cam Channel as well and let me know what you think! 2013 Disney Christmas Village (revised and updated) and my New Year's Eve sequence: 2013 Disney Christmas Village - New Year's Eve sequence Hope you had a Very Merry Christmas and will have a very Happy New Year!
I love the tune. Great message and uplifting. It really compliment the whole production and display. Good steady camera work. Everything fell together nicely and worked out so nice. Thanks for sharing this Snow village. Check out mine and leave a comment if you like. Linsterville 2013.

Wow! Very nice! My boys loved it. How did you put the train track around the tree like that? It's so cool!
thanks Jenna. the track around the tree is a custom piece held up by hidden guy wires.
Everyone is right, this is fantastic! The guy wires, do you have them to the tree or to the ceiling?
One of the best!! What time is dinner Saturday night??
thanks.
WOW! I love this! Rich, how long does it take for you to set this up?
Precioso 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🎄🎄🎄🎄

Beautiful!!!
Amazing! Love the "ride" on the train. :) How do you hide all the electrical cords?
Thank you. The cords are underneath the plywood base..that is the hardest part of making the display.
awesome job
This is amazing! I'm interested in finding out how you elevated the track around the tree. Is this HO or ON30?
Thank you
Hi Mark, its an ON30 train on a HO track. I replaced the HO train to get a better scale to the houses. Guy wires and flat rods hold up the track around the tree. Glad you like it..thanks.
