@@KA-vs7nl We're going to run out of gas eventually and we know CO2 emissions are bad for the environment/ozone layer. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Sit back and watch you can pay crazy taxes to drive a gas engine and buy gas if you want but it's where things are going.
@@KA-vs7nl EVs are good caveman. They go zoom quicker and cleaner, as evidenced by the new F-150 Lightning hitting 0-60 faster than the Raptor. As much as everyone loves ICEs, its okay to allow the change to EVs once the tech is ready. And it is ready.

As a huge F1 fan, I’d love to see this. The only thing that really makes me think they wouldn’t go for it is that f1 is predominately a European sport. There aren’t a ton of people in the states who watch it.
It's growing quite significantly though. Drive to survive has brought in alot of new fans. Americans love winning, so if they could be successful, they'll watch.
The thing is American already have alot of motor sports, it's a bit if a saturated market

And then another league, called XXtreme, where safety isnt even a factor.
I would like to see group b return with mandated cage strength and a minimum safety equipment weight.
The big problem with group b was no minimum weight for safety equipment so it incentivized cutting safety corners. If everyone must start with a cage of X rating and a minimum weight which must be spent on safety, it will be a strong base.
Can-am was something like that, but Bruce McLaren died testing one of those so bad idea

In all seriousness, F1 are really interested in getting into America. It's a huge untapped market and Hass really aren't cutting the butter this season. Having a successful American F1 team would be great for the support.
Having an even mildly successful F1 driver would do more for F1 in the US than having a successful American team without American drivers. American fans generally only care about drivers.

I honestly think if they were to enter F1, they’d make their own engine first. They’re known for building insane engines and I think they’d want some pride in an F1 engine as well.

So they would be even behind Haas. One can not just jump into F1 and expecting to outperform the big names in F1 as Mercedes, Honda, Renault and Ferrari. F1 is way more complex then just build an engine that produces 1000 hp.
@Philly Cheesesteak you cant compare NASCAR with F1. The one are high tech extremely complicated engines in cars with the highest demand on downforce in any racing series (or short the fastest racing series on circular racetracks) and the other is using stockblock engines slightly modified like in the DTM.
@Philly Cheesesteak F1 is way more complex than Nascar. They can't get to to the top by just making a 1000 hp engine and they also need huge efficiency for their engines. Aerodynamics is also a very significant part of F1.
Would be way too big of a cost investment. Outsource the engine first, then after they get a little more familiar with the F1 world they could consider their own

Yes but they will be a new haas or williams the sport is just too expensive. Just to enter is like 200mil. After joining they will have to buy or build a factory where they would develop and manufacture parts etc. Then they need to be better than teams witch have been in the sport for years and have so much more experinece.

They are allready in F1, it's called Alfa Romeo.
Alfa Romeo aren't really in Formula One. The F1 team you're thinking about is actually a privateer team owned by a Swiss investment group known as Sauber Motorsport. That's why the team was actually called Sauber up until recently. Alfa Romeo don't have any stake in the team nor are they involved in the operations. They are simply the team's title sponsor.
I know mate. It is a bit more than just a sponsor. Actually FIAT Group owns Ferrari, Alfa Romeo and Dodge. Maybe with this information you can understand my joke.

Dodge isn’t going to be a Brawn GP in the unlikely situation that they actually enter F1.
People don’t understand the true politics of F1, in fact Donut didn’t even mention the new 200,000,000 entry fee.
They have no prior experience, they would most likely run the currently shite Ferrari engine, with no real drivers that we could see coming on the team.
The only drivers I could see is if Ferrari gave them Schwartzman and Ilott from F2, both of which would be rookies.
Ferrari spent around 480 billion dollars in 2019 and didn’t even win.
The top teams have acres of facility’s globally that dodge simply can’t make.
The only possibility is another rebrand of Alfa Romeo-Sauber, therefore making Dodge-Sauber, and they would be lucky for a good position in the midfield.
That’s just my honest opinion on the matter.

As much as I love both Dodge and F1, they each have a completely different ethos. F1 is all about elite european engineering, and Dodge is...well...not that. I think they should be in Nascar again once they get their finances in order.

I’m new here but I feel like with the development of the PowerBoost, Ford would be intriguing. There’s potential with the NFL somehow acting as a primary sponsor with the tie of the Ford family and the Detroit Lions. The NFL is trying to expand internationally so it’s possible. There’s also the potential for Firestone since the principal owner of the Lions is a descendent to Firestone. Unsure how Pirelli impacts things.

Possible or not it would be SO great to get rid of that Russian Led Sled. Its SO embarrassing as the only US team. No matter how much I logically understand the business necessities of it and even if Drive To Survive 3 softened me a bit on the issue, its still sad and embarrassing that the only US team had to resort to this.
