I made this twice, in two different colors! I like how all of your DIYs are beginner friendly plus you explain things very well. I just wish you'll have more sewing videos.
I don’t even have words to say how much I loved your explanation, I’m not a English speaker , I only understand some words/phrases but I absolutely loved all about this video and u defined have a new fan right now
9:32 another tip: you can close the side seam, and then sew the elastic tread in a spiral way, that you don't have to cut the tread ou stop everytime and turn the piece :) (i hope it makes sense what i say, i don't speak english that well)
you explain things in such a good and clear way i’m so surprised you don’t have more views. i’ve decided to get back into sewing and all your tutorials look so fun
Can't remember how many times I watched video, and every time I do I still laugh! LOL You're so cute! Finally Im copying this dress! Wish me luck! It looks simple so I'll try!
Blessed good morning 🌞. Extremely beautiful dress n even better well explained, very beginner friendly. You are an excellent instructor. Do keep up the good work 💋
I'm wondering if you could add a little vertical draw string placket in the middle of the bust to adjust it to a sweetheart neckline if you wanted. It would add a cute little bow either way! Thanks for shirring, lol I mean sharing!
I am so in love with this dress! I want to make one with pockets. I have a question though. Is there any particular reason that you decided to make a separate portion for the top where you shirred and then gathered the second tier to meet it? I like how you did it, but was just curious. Thanks for your time!
Totally making this dress! One question: did you use your elastic thread to connect the tiers? Some tutorials use regular thread with the longest stitch and pull at them to give the gathered effect. Thanks so much!
Do you have an idea of how much elastic is necessary for the shirring ? I just have one new small spool of it and I'm afraid to run out of elastic in the middle of the shirring (i never done shirring so I'm pretty clueless about it 😆). Merci!
Hi, I love this dress so much! Can I ask where you got the fabric from? I can't find any similar colours in the right material near me😅. Thank you so much for this video!😊
Hi, I live in Germany and usually buy my fabrics online from stoffe.de, snaply.de or stoffe hemmers. Not sure it helps 🙈 just look for a linen blend as 100% linen is too stiff for this type of dress
Ive calculated the pattern for me and the bottom tier is almost 3 meters (2,80) does that sound about right? I thought i maybe made a mistake because that is so long!!
but because of the smock in the waist, does the pattern not need to be bigger or something?? bc the smock will make the fabric smaller. or was that the 1,5 u did in the pattern? or how do u know how much bigger it needs t be :)
Really nice dress- haven’t finished mine yet- but did anyone else’s upper thread keep snapping while shirring? It was so annoying! I checked everything she said to do if it wasn’t working but it’s just very strange and confusing…

@@OwlipopDIY ty! where did your fabric for this bc I'm having trouble finding some
Maybe search for linen blend? It’s usually linen and viscose. I’m in Germany and bought mine at Stoffe Hemmers if that helps.
I’ve been sooooo into pirate core recently and it gives me such pirate vibes. I’m making this dress 50 times over
LOVE IT and I learned something since I have never done shirring. This will be a great help since I have my fabric and ready to go.
So enjoy your tutorials. Love your accent and you are so fluent in English.

thank you for sharing, great step by step explanations which makes it easier to understand. love the dress and the colour.
I like the way you angled the straps in the back as that will prevent them from sliding off the shoulder.
your way of teaching is amazing i'm gonna try it soon ! thank you

Your Amaxing !!!
Love your sewing Machine
Could you share what’s thing to buy?
Can a Velvet Fabric be useful too for shirring?
Are all of the measurements you are using in cm ? I get 1,38m for my top , is this correct ?
Do you have an idea of how much elastic is necessary for the shirring ? I just have one new small spool of it and I'm afraid to run out of elastic in the middle of the shirring (i never done shirring so I'm pretty clueless about it 😆). Merci!
You should have at least 2 reels.
Hola princesa, muy hermoso vestido !! Abrazos desde Colombia.

@@OwlipopDIY Thank you so much! I'll check it out 😊
Its so nice😍
🥳 thank you!
So pretty
Since the top and the first tier are the same width, can it be one piece instead of 2?
Hello, I want to know why we can't use pure linen?
Ive calculated the pattern for me and the bottom tier is almost 3 meters (2,80) does that sound about right? I thought i maybe made a mistake because that is so long!!
beautiful 😍👌

I have a Brother VQ2 but you can sew this on any sewing machine :)
@@OwlipopDIY Thank you so much sis 😍

How big are the tiers from each other?
Could I make this with puff sleeves or no straps?
i would shirr it all the way up if you choose no sleeves 😊
What kind of fabric?
Прикольно 👌😍👍🙋♀️🤗
♥️♥️♥️♥️
Could you make Bella Hadids icy naked dress from the amfAR Gala 2017 🥰

I made this but my breasts are large and now I have a weird bubble on the back from the excess material 😢 how would I fix this?
Maybe try shirring the top part as well. I think it would look nice
Its spelled shirred. Or to shirr something
