Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy when you are in Tokyo and Osaka. But when you bring your energy to places outside of the big cities, I love it! What a great trip. Saiko!
"It's 10:48 right now, my shinkansen leaves at 11:08." Ngl, it stresses me out that he says this then proceeds to do the intro for the vlog. I'm like, "Run, man!" 😂
Let’s go to take the Shinkansen 🚅 , this time Rion is not in a hurry😅👏, everyone is as excited as Rion because we are going to travel 🧳 ! This combo from Pomuno Ki is with Omelette and Spaghetti 😋, yes! the meal at the station outside is much cheaper, let's do it next time! I love this Hakuba Mominoki Hotel so much, can enjoy a cup of hot coffee and look out the window at the snowy scenery ❄️, perfect 👌🏻 18:07! Rion's food in Izakaya is very special, there are okonomiyaki pizza, Gyoza chicken skin is so weird😧😅, it is a new challenge if it is good😁,🍶! Looking forward to the next video of Rion of Snowboarding 🏂!
Top score 💯 per cent for this video. We’ll done ! Great content and warm hotel and great food! I know you can’t do these types of videos all the time, but when you do, they are great! Thank you for showing us . Five star .⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Have been following your channel for a long time, Rion. It is such a pleasure to see your lovely personality and every video of yours does bring a smile and brightens up my day. Good on you. Ganbatte kudasai...
We are so glad that you are finally able to go out again and splurge on yourself for a change ! You earned it ! LOVING IT ! Best wishes from Orlando Florida!
That hotel room is so beautifuuuuul! My family wants to experience that, too 😂 and those food really made us drool 🤤 aaaaah~ Can’t wait to go back there and experience winter again ❤️ ❄️ And we are also excited to watch the next episode hehehe! We believe that you did great on snowboarding 😉 👍 As always, thank you so much for giving us good recommendations and tips on your trips. Also, thanks to your friend/tour guide, Joe-San for sharing his tips 😊 Take care always and God bless! 😊 🙏
This was one of my favorite videos from you so far! What a beatiful place, and that hotel looks amazing 😍 Looking forward to the next video from this trip!
This made me watch your video again. Before this, your video revealed more about the main cities of Tokyo and Osaka, making me stop for a moment to watch your video. Btw i'm in Japan now. Love from Malaysia. Nice video😍
I once visited Hakuba by taking on overnight bus from Shinjuku Busta because I was going to hike up Shiroumadake. Next time I can visit Japan, I want to take a more leisurely trip to Nagano and Hakuba.
this is a really cozy video you've done in awhile. finally you're not just posting video about Tokyo or Osaka everytime, it gets very repetitive and boring since I watched all your contents since 2019, it's great that you finally took the effort to visit another prefecture and make content over on beautiful places like this! keep up the amazing work and hopefully we can see more of other prefecture like the Ginzan Onsen in Yamagata prefecture, or someplace like Hokkaido or Kyushu!
In regards to Rion presenting the same type of content around Tokyo and Osaka, as a Japanese person who also lives in Japan, I thought I’d offer some background about the situation in Japan so that Rion doesn’t get misunderstood and appear to be a one-trick pony. Due to Covid, it has been really difficult for Japanese to travel over the past two years-even domestically. People get criticized harshly when they travel, as they might contract the virus and become a source of transmission. The criticism and bullying can come from all directions, even as close as your neighbors. Some people have gone so far as to sneak off in the middle of the night just to avoid being seen going on a trip. Japanese society is much more socially restrictive than you might think. There is a saying in Japan, “The nail that sticks up gets hammered down “,meaning if you don’t conform to the rest, you’re inviting trouble for yourself. I don’t think it’s a matter of Rion not trying hard enough. He just wasn’t in a situation where he could do much more. He’s probably suffering from the Covid restrictions, and been unable to travel, and therefore may not have been able to produce a bigger variety of content for his viewers.Under the circumstances, I can see from his video that he is doing what he can to help out others that have also suffered. It’s clearly important to him to give back locally where he can, while Covid continues to hurt the hospitality industry. I believe that as the situation gets better, we will see a lot more new content from him.I hope you don’t take this wrong way, I merely hope people will try to understand the circumstances that he’s working under in Japan. Thank you for taking the time to read this long message.
Hello from Rich in Las Vegas, your videos are great. You might want to show if the restaurants touch screens can be shown in English in more places. I know some are more frequent where foreign tourist go to more often. Also, when I was there last in 2019 many of the restrooms in public places didn't have hand towels I bought the baby wipes. One suggestion for a video would be the actual JR office tickets purchasing process and show folks how to read the tickets and get to the platform. I haven't seen someone do it in depth, the trains can be intimidating. Thanks, "Keep walking!".
It was so funny how your friend was laughing along when you described the foods 😂 Once again great travels! I will have to go to Nagano/Hakuba during another Japan travel!
I went to Hakuba once and stay in a glorious hotel. It was the best hotel I have ever stayed in Japan and I have always wanted to travel back there again. Can’t wait for this covid to end and I can travel to Japan once again.
こにちわ!The view from the hotel room is so beautiful. I love snow so this was great! The Izakaya food looked very filling. I like okonomoyaki but I think I will continue to eat it the traditional way. I will pass on the pizza! Hope you enjoyed yourself. ありがとうございました。
I've never seen this village before, wow really beautiful place. Thank you so much for introducing this to us, also love the snow ❄️ there very nice 👍🏽. Loved it, we were also very excited to visit it. Arigaotozaimasu for always letting us explore new and exciting places and ganbarimasu. Got to say the place and your music matches so much. God bless🙏🏼
Nice video! The combination of cold snow and the beautiful cozy hotel is just awesome. Also I love all the food in this video, Nagano omuraisu but even more all the interestingly looking dishes in the local izakaya. Seems like so much fun! 👍
Lovely! Thank you for sharing this Rion san! I love the E7 series ! Actually that is the Hokuriku shinkansen, which goes to the Hokuriku region like Nagano, Kanazawa and Takasaki ~ Fun fact, the 'Asama' is name of the service is derived from the name of the active volcano Mount Asama near Karuizawa, which the train passes by ~ Another fun fact, if you have the JR Pass and would like a more scenic (but longer ride time) route, you can take the Chuo Line from Tokyo to Shinjuku, then the Ltd Express Azusa to Matsumoto, and then the Ltd Express Shinano to Nagano! (Yeah more than 4 hours this way but yeah it's fun riding Japan's trains and looking at the scenery!)
so glad u did this video! hakuba was on my list of places to go! hope u can do more diff snow ski resort review and also onsen ryokan reviews too! gambatte!
It's so nice to see you enjoy this snow trip! We feel excited like you too as if we are travelling with you! And the view from the room is awesome, wish we were really there to see that view too! So looking forward for the next video to come! 😍😍😍
Hi Rion! Wow wow wow that looks like such a fun and cozy trip. Izakaya looks like something I would also pick and really tasty food from what you showcased. Love it!
This was real exciting, it felt like going on the trip with you 😁 The snow was so nice and a great hotel too. Looking forward to seeing you snow boarding 😀🏂
Gaoooooo nice video love that hotel and view pine 🌲 trees and snow ⛄️ my fav looks like u had a great time cool cheers 🍻 thanks for sharing have a good one 🤘☮️💟🍀😜🤟⛄️
I truly love your honest food reviews :) And those log owls by the hotel entrance look so cool. I hope you do get to ride the 1st class train someday. P.S. it's so nice seeing you interacting with people hehe Enjoy the snow :)
We have been to Hakuba skiing 3 or 4 times. We stay in Tokyo with my in-laws so we get the Asama Shinkansen then the bus just as in this video. Hakuba is a great place for skiing and snowboarding with lots of options and a free shuttle bus service to take you to and from the ski resorts. This video brought back memories and I’m looking forward to the next instalment, curious as to which resort has been chosen for the snowboarding lesson.
Fun video Rion! Your hotel room is huge! Makes me want to go to a snowy region of Japan next time! Have you ever done the Kurobe Alpine Route? Also can't wait to see you try snowboarding!
What a beautiful hotel with a great view of huge snow... delectable food... nice resto. So cold out there! 😄 When do you go snowboarding? or skiing perhaps?
Arigaooo, Rion, for this winter wonderland adventure in Nagano. So much snow! Lovin' it. The hotel was beautiful and the view from your room was sugoi. 👍 ⛷
Hi Rion! nice watching your vlog again. I miss riding the shinkansen. the last time I took the Hayabusa shinkansen going to Hokkaido. love the snow .Take care and God bless
Rion I was reading that if your phone or smart watch AREN'T bought in Japan you can't link up your JR or even your Suica card to be used with the NFC touch on the back of apple phones or androids. Reddit was my source, I should probably confirm with the actual companies. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
Watching your videos is painful. Japan is the most beautiful country on the planet from all aspects. I miss it dearly, and feel so sad that it's still closed for visitors...
Well, I always feel 2 things when riding a plane: excitement and FEAR XD I have yet to ride the Shinkanzen tho... maybe when Japan is open for travelers again, I will try! By the way, for domestic travels in Japan, as a foreigner, is it better to use the Shinkanzen or plane? Also, wow, where is that hotel located again? The ambiance is beautiful: from the lobby to your room!
Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy when you are in Tokyo and Osaka. But when you bring your energy to places outside of the big cities, I love it! What a great trip. Saiko!
Winter wonderland! Gaoo!~🦁
"It's 10:48 right now, my shinkansen leaves at 11:08." Ngl, it stresses me out that he says this then proceeds to do the intro for the vlog. I'm like, "Run, man!" 😂
I completely agree with Rion, only eat what you really want to eat, as long it makes you happy.
Wow Rion I love snow, can't wait to see your snowboarding adventure, loving it ❄️❄️❄️😍😍😍
Thank you for taking us along with your trip

We are so glad that you are finally able to go out again and splurge on yourself for a change ! You earned it !

The excitement of travelling, yeah I have that too.
Omg!!! Remind me of Davos town. The hotel is so classy
I once visited Hakuba by taking on overnight bus from Shinjuku Busta because I was going to hike up Shiroumadake. Next time I can visit Japan, I want to take a more leisurely trip to Nagano and Hakuba.
First time I heard “panda sauce” I thought, oh my god! They’re eating panda bears! :D

I also eat my spaghetti with chopsticks :)
Looks like you had a great time with Joe at the izakaya, Rion! Lots of different food that I haven't seen before, too. What was the name of it?
You have a power outlet in the Shinkansen
Watching your videos is painful. Japan is the most beautiful country on the planet from all aspects. I miss it dearly, and feel so sad that it's still closed for visitors...
Rion, with your smile, you're a ball of sunshine in snowy Nagano! Seeing you happy in Hakuba makes me so happy. ^^ (P.S. I'm so jealous of Joe... )
Someone recommends that
Super spicy
You really love beer 🍻
Well, I always feel 2 things when riding a plane: excitement and FEAR XD

Thank you for another video!!! I miss Japan so much! Does Japanese resident not be able to purchase JR Pass?! 😊 Yummy food!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi there ^^ I believe only foreign travelers could purchase & use the JR Pass.
I want to travel with you because I’m scared to alone 🤣
I might have missed it but can you use the JR Pass on the bus to Hakuba? Or is that a seperate ticket? Love your videos!!
Hello Rion! Is he your brother? Sure good looking☺ I noticed the drinking baddy not the scenery's ha,ha,ha, gomenasai!
Haha, he is not my brother, he is a Hakuba local! My brother and nephew is in Ep. 286😁
