Thanks, Phil, for a wonderful video of the changes happening at Central and I loved that unique Vestibule area on the V-set. As to searching for things on V-sets, I still have not managed to get a V-set with the wheelchair setting in a long time. I tried to take my wife into town from Penrith in a V-set WITH wheelchair space but alas it was not to be. Can I add photos in here? I have some photos of me and the Mrs in her power chair, in a tiny V-set vestibule and one of her at Central after we got off. Will miss the dear old V-sets when they are taken off! Boo Hoo!
Have I mentioned about how she has turned off trains, now because of a mess up with rail staff putting us in a Tangara driver's compartment area with NO SEATS ( by law I am not supposed to ride my walker on the train!...I HAD TO, THAT DAY! Then same day coming back from Hornsby to Strathfield, staff were not there to get us off the train until a lady yelled out for someone to come! Sorry for raving...added to all this; we were relieved her power chair only broke down THE DAY AFTER THAT HORNSBY TRIP...at home! Let me know if you want all this removed.
13:07, interesting door hinge on DET 9216. I also saw it on DIM 8053, and, if my memory is correct, DTM 8036. Some kind of safety upgrade, perhaps?

platform 1 should be extended all the way to mortuary station for the IP.
yeah, there should be about enough room! IDK why they don't do that... probably could get away with not even giving a platform roof for most of it so it would not be too costly

Hmm. If I were in charge of the project, I'd be temporarily extending platform 11, then completing 13 and 14 so that they're fully operational, BEFORE closing 10 and 11 for permanent extension work.

I’ve said it before can they now upgrade all the other platforms? Yes I’ve heard they’re heritage listed …..but heh less places for those rats of the sky to shit all over people. Pretty bad having to get on a train after a pigeon shat all over you.
May I please ask how does the Tekno Train works? I'm confused with what the event info explains as I only just looked at it today, and it's something unfamiliar to me.

Would assume the platform extensions are to allow the new D sets to fit on all the platforms.
10 car D sets are only 8 metres longer than 8 car V set so it looks they're adding a bit extra.
0:18 a direct train from sydney to bomaderry? i thought bomaderry services ran as a shuttle from Kiama
You have to get off at Kiama then an Endeavor will take you to Bomaderry. Still a strange announcement ill give you that
