A note about Morrigan and her mother: Keep in mind that the Devs have made an explicit point of telling players to NOT take what characters tell you to be canon fact. Even when they're not lying, you have to remember that just because they BELIEVE something to be true doesn't mean that it is.
I learned the hard way that you can accidentally progress a companion’s affection towards the Warden too fast via the use of gifts. At least faster than the story intended, so you get awkward interactions like Alistair surprised that the Warden cares for him even after both declaring eternal love for each other.
Hot tip - You can heal people by just clicking on Heal and then clicking on their portrait on the left side of the screen! That way you don't need to find where they are on the battlefield!

The reason only Sten and Alistair's weapons come up when enchanting is because they have rune slots in their weapons - Leliana and Zev's weapons [that you have them using] don't have any slots. Later in the game, there will be lots of weapons you pick up with the slots:)

Goldanna is the single biggest waste of money on the game. I feel like most people probably give her the 15 gold the first time, and then never again. 🤣 ... Mind, it's not like her bitterness is wholly unjustified. Given the power dynamic, I think its pretty unlikely that Alistair's conception was consensual. Imagine your mother dies in childbirth after being assaulted by a nobleman, his sycophants toss you a pittance to keep you from telling anyone about it. Then you spend the next 25 years or so just struggling to live the nightmarish life of a medieval peasant, until your technically-brother walks in wearing armour worth more than you've made in your whole life, throws you a handful of blood-soaked coins and demands a relationship. She's obviously an unpleasant person, *but* I'd like to think that there's a chance for Alistair and Goldanna to have a less fraught conversation sometime in the future. 😊
Yeah tbf I didn't think of it like that so her actions and feelings make sense and are justified but we know Alistair and he's a lil sweetie so it hurts to see him searching for a family that don't want him. It sad for both parties 😢
@kiki_maliki Except Goldanna is a shrew. She thinks she and all of her relatives should be in a mansion, wearing the finest clothes, eating the best food and being waited on by servants.

The Blood Mage compound has a high difficulty. Tossing grenades makes your rogues much more deadly, have Zev make a bunch to pass around. Acid is a good one to use.
Don't forget to use injury kits on characters that fall in battle to get rid of all those injuries. They're debuffs that can really mess you up if you have multiples.
Regarding your CTDs (crash to dextop): I highly recommend installing the 4gig patch and Qwinn's ultimate DAO fixpack and it should fix the game. No more glitches or CTDs at all! Hope this helps.
I so feel for ya on the Denerim crashing experience. I couldn't even make it to Ostagar... I'm a long-time DA player (and certified lore freak, lol) who had been wanting to replay Origins and DA2 this summer (been doing multiple replays of Inquisition since January), but I owned both on the Xbox 360 and the disc drive died for it last year. After realizing PC was really going to be my only viable option, I jumped on the Steam Dragon Age sale, buying 'em up immediately. While my laptop isn't a gaming laptop, it is relatively new and I figured I should have zero problems playing a 15 year old game....yeah, not so much. Just to get through the mage origin took hours and hours of trouble-shooting, looking up every guide on how to get Origins to work on a modern computer ...and once I did I couldn't even load into Ostagar. Apparently Ostagar and Denerim are the two maps with the biggest memory issues (the PC version of the game has a never fixed memory leak) and I spent probably close to 20 hours over the course of the week trying to get by on the bare minimum settings with every fix ...and couldn't even make it to the meeting with King Cailan. Just turning to see the bridge at the beginning you cross with Duncan crashed it at the same point every time, lol. Thankfully, I've already played the game several times (Origins is my least favorite of the three, but I've had 2 memorable full playthroughs and tried out each origin) and, while I was kinda excited to try a new build, I'll just get my Origins refresher through your eyes. But my story doesn't have a sad ending. Dragon Age 2 (for a long time my all-time favorite game because of the characters and storytelling) is working well so far. Only one crash even on much, much higher settings and am already much further into the game...and only did one slight tweak after that crash and haven't changed anything since. Have been thoroughly enjoying your reactions and look forward to your journey into my favorite story world in all of media.
