Good effort, I fish the Bay and the Pine River with bullies up to 9ft from my 4m tinny. Some good advice for you - It's way to dangerous to start measuring sharks like that, estimate their size its OK, just from the video I reckon that would be a 4.5 ft shark !!. Use big heavy duty bolt cutters and cut that hook off. Get the bolt cutters from Bunnings The medium sized ones and attach one of the handles with 2m cable to the tinny with a stainless clip in case they go over. Finally piss those poor excuses for a bullshit hook right off. Go to a commercial fishing supply store where the long liners go and buy yourself a box of 100 heavy duty commercial 14/0 tuna circles. There's not a shark in the brisbane river that will bend that....period, full stop, the end. !!! Also Whitworths have inflatable life jackets for $79 at the moment treat yourself and your old man to one each. Everything fun until you hit up your first 200kg bullshark, then its gonna get serious and dangerous real quick. Been doing this for 30 years and still have unbroken Australian records for big sharks. Cheers Douglas Mizzi.
Thanks for all the advise Douglas! Have bought myself a bolt cutter which has come in handy with some others I’ve caught. I think you’re right about the hooks, especially for larger specimens👍🏻👍🏻
