He has a point about the gem and grind thing.. my bale is using the free rage set, and 2 wills (one has 13 crit damage, and the other has 21 crit crate, I'm just using them since it gets me into the effective HP range,) and once you start geming and grinding your bale should be good enough :shrug:
So what exactly are the will runes for, cant you just use Fran instead of Colleen and lose the will runes? It always does the bite on front row on his first attack anyways, the jump doesnt give any debuffs and hes dead before he uses anything else again

Though do you know if there are different speed requirements for BJ4? Me and my brother are going to try that with an Odin on 3rd place so we can farm alone. Even my shitty Bale seems to do around ~1/4th of its hp without any fight runes, but idk if the 2nd phase takes less damage.

I need some clarification. The wording in the guide is a bit fuzzy, and I dont want to be the pleb that causes others to fail. So, my speed tuning is good, I have the EHP 's where they need to be, and my Bale is hitting 33,600 on his last. Do I still need a crit damage loren? She only hits about 1700 total on s1. TIA
Heya Brandyn, no you won't need the CD Loren - that's only to help people if they are below 32k damage on the Bale. With Artifacts and B12s now that should be MUCH easier to reach :)

Yeah Bale does not need a set amount of HP, just "effective hp" which is the mix of hp and def. +500def and +6400 hp is probably enough even without the 4man FL. Mine is I think +7700hp and +400def or around there. Though with max towers. For 4-man FL, I don't know the stats. But I know at least one person in my Discord server is using it: discord.gg/nrfUDVc Hop in and tag @redripper and he might be able to help :)
dont wanna use the optimizer? you can use the online rune simulator and manually input the stats on your runes and simulate your stats on a 6* max level balegyr right in your browser and use the charts in the guide or the scollis chart to check the stats of the simulated balegyr and you dont need to use up any resources in game before you need too
actually I wud LOVE com2us to put an option to replay ur runs when u fail... I rly need it cuz I love consistency and everytime I see my gb10 speed team fail or bj5 team fail I got curious as to wat happened that caused the fail. Hope com2us sees this lol
Yeah TBH that would be really helpful. Because usually you fail like 1 time in 10+ if the team is "almost there." The way I fix the problems is by recording on my tablet, but it actually messes up the volume of the tablet while the recording software is running LOL.

I think I spotted a mistake, correct me if I'm wrong at 14:30 You are saying your colleen is 29k ehp because of the tower. But you're looking at the (+15 runes stats) when your current runes are not +15. It might mislead people into thinking 29k ehp is fine when it may not be.
A bit late here, but nevertheless: I see a LOT of Janssens with Will on them. Did something change from the time you recorded the video? Is there a reason to have Will on Janssen? Thanks for reply in advance.
Yeah definitely something is missing. Could be leader skills, could be fight sets, could be the 550% multiplier. Defense break, attack buff, etc. I'd go back and double check all the config options for the damage calculation
It's a bug related to an update a while back, essentially Dagora is resurrecting with 1hp too many to trigger the 'perfect ai'. The fix is literally just remove a rune from dagora and re-add it :)
also guys just to touch on not max level towers. I just have max cd and spd, hp %, universal atk % towers are level 5. I would shoot for +1800 atk, 230+ cd or more minimum. my bale is 234% cd +1802 atk. hes also 101k+ EHP, so dont build this if you cant hit stats like this.
I‘m using this video as my bj5 reference. But some how my runs keep failing, so I watch your video back and fort to find my mistakes. Then I recognize that my jasson has only +24 spd and he doesn‘t get turn after the boss jump. So I add some spd adjusting to my spd tower and he is doing fine now. Thanks a lot!!! Now I can farm r5 without worry (aside the pain from waiting people to join my room). Somehow i still want to upgrade my team demage to satisfy my ego, although it is worthless lol

Unfortunately will is mandatory. If the boss lands oblivion than Bale won't stack. You don't have to use rage - anything that gets the damage is enough, but the will runes have to be there.
I jave to redownload the optimizer and give this a go. Thank you for all the info. Love your videos always helpful. Ps other youtubers say doing summoners war videos this late into the games lide is a bad idea but you are coming up strong keep up the great work

Shaina works, the problem is that her animations (s1/s2) aren't the same speed, so she causes mild de-synchronizing of the teams. It's not a huge deal, but it can slow the runs by about half a second and on really rare occasions cause a fail if the other teams' Janssens act before your Baleygr acts. Also her base atk is higher than Loren but multipliers are low (S1 scales to boss hp status), so Loren's overall damage comes out about the same.
This is so confusing. What is effective hp and how do I figure it out without the optimiser. Also what is the optimiser. How is it linked to your sw account. I just want to know what stats they need and I'll figure it out without a stupid optimiser
Hi Tardis, I'm sorry it's confusing :( Effective HP is basically how tanky your monster is - it's the balance between HP and DEF combined. Without the optimizer, you'll need to figure it out with math, which can be more confusing: * effective hp = hp*(1000+(Defense*3))/1000 - That formula needs your ACTUAL hp and defense. So to get those: * base_hp + (base_hp * hp tower%) + hp_from_runes * base_def + (base_def * def tower%) + def_from_runes Ace has a good video on how to install the optimizer tho - you can find that here: th-cam.com/video/mC0IfGJS6MM/w-d-xo.html

My fire turret is lvl 6 and my atk turret is lvl 7, i miss around 13% atk, because i was to lazy to make em lvl 10 in 3 years of playing. Got a question tho, my BJ hits around 30k do i get the 32.5k dmg mark with him after i maxed those? Hes pretty good runed and way over the minimum standards :)
if hes way over minimum standards then you should be hitting 32k...I have max cd tower level 5 atk level 5 spd tower and a level 5 hp tower. tested my bj5 yesterday and was hitting 32k sometimes even 33k. no fire atk yet, gonna work on it soon
U dont need 85k or 87k ehp for baleygr (which makes only baleygr harder to rune), if u run 4 frontline and 2 backline. If u do so, ur rune requirement is lower and u will need about 78k ehp (without max tower) for baleygr.

Yes it means your Janssen is likely too slow, and he's being cut when the boss lands slow debuff. He should be +20 speed with max tower, so if the speed tower is not max add some more speed accordingly.
Hey xen can i get update on what mons in this need the artifacts thinking the loren and bale only cause others just die? also some of the speed boosting ones might mess stuff up thanks ? Im mid game ish and 1 off a max speed tower and my BJR5 somehow derps trying to fix and artifacts are definitely a thing these days.
Also note, if anyone uses rica lead (fire crit rate 38%), baleygr needs to have at least 62% crit rate, not 61% in order to achieve 100% crit. That way other team mate can do global attack lead
This is true :p Though rica leads are pretty rare so I wouldn't advice building to that spec unless you have a regular partner I think (it doesn't hurt to have the 62+ cr! as long as you're not trading off other, needed stats)

Thanks Igor! Pretty much once you have speed teams for gb10 and db10, I'd start to do a little R3 or R4 if you can. Once you have a speed necro team I'd try to move to R4, or do more R3 if you can't do the R4. Then move to R5 once you can make a stable team, and move to BJR5 once you have strong enough runes (the BJR5 comes much later).

@@Ninguém.realmente Heya Igor, the fire monsters in GB10 will cause you some problems, I'm wondering if you meant DB10. That team should work in DB10, though Lushen won't be reliable - in addition to his derps he has attribute disadvantage, so it may cause some fails :/. Raoqs are interesting in Necro. They can help you get a crazy good best time because of their RNG, but they can also cause a lot of fails because of their RNG. Overall you wouldn't be able to reliably break the shield with this team tho :/
IMO this is a misconception. R3 drops magic through legend grinds. Legend is ULTRA rare, so let's just say magic through hero, with the normal drop being rare. If you grind and re-grind runes until your rares hit max grinds (+6%), you're adding about 18% efficiency to your rune. A rare rune that rolls so-so but has 3 grindable stats might be 72-75% efficiency. Add 18% to it, and it's now a 90%+ efficiency rune. A legend rune that rolls pretty well might be 85-88% efficiency. With no grinds, it's not even as good as that rare rune - and you probably farmed hundreds, maybe thousands of dungeon runes to get that particular legend rune (trust me, a rune with good subs rolling 85%+ efficiency is CRAZY rare). The main thing here is that obviously R5 is better - but using R3 to improve your current runes makes R5 reachable MUCH faster. I personally farmed R3 for a month solid, and then used my improved runes to go to R4 and (quickly after) R5. In the end, it sped up my game progression a ton :)
Thanks for another BJR5 video! I have met all requirements but teams I'm on often run at just under or at 28 seconds. Could this be because of the difference in attack animation between Shaina and Loren?
Yeah this is absolutely the reason. Shaina's animations have different times based on S1 and S2, which causes the BJR teams to mildly de-sync. It almost never causes the run to fail unless there are other problems with the team, but it does slow it down by about half a second. This is the main reason we recommend using Loren - the faster and more consistent animations, but it helps to have all teams using the exact same monsters for synchronization (Loren's defense break is slightly more reliable too, and she has the atk bar pushback as derp protection).
Heya Mixrey, Colleen must be at about 25,000 effective HP which is roughly 10k hp and 500 def. I'm pretty sure you can accomplish those stats with a 6* colleen, her base stats are lower than that. Just gotta be able to get her enough speed while keeping the hp/def stats low (probably a speed slot 2 without hp/def subs, and then lots of mostly un-inscribed runes). However, Janssen is mandatory for this team to work. And he should be in the front line with 170k+ effective hp unless your Bale and Loren are super tanky.
So a couple of FYIs on this - Shaina's S1 scales to boss health and S2 has a low multiplier. Despite her higher base attack, Loren actually does more damage overall. Loren also tends to be a more reliable defense breaker. Most importantly, Shaina can cause runs to de-sync, slowing them by about half a second and in SUPER rare cases (1 in 100 or 1 in 200) the desync can cause fails. I strongly advise staying with Loren :)

Unfortunately i actually don't know the answer to it :( I'm not sure if many people do BJR3, because that boss is already pretty cleaveable with other monsters. Maybe I'm wrong? But I'd probably focus on BJR4. Set Colleen to 15k e.hp and record a few videos and watch the runs closely. Make sure she "safely" lives at the start and dies on the jump, and if not, go to 20k e.hp. It's likely going to be in that 15-20k range, since bjr5 is 25k :)

It may have been as simple as giving Loren extra damage, but it may be something more too. Honestly cannot remember now, it's been a long time using this team :/. If you need to have Loren go before Colleen for some reason, I'd just test it and watch it closely. If you're not failing, you're fine :)

You're very welcome Amr!!! I think it depends on how stable your R5 team is, and if you're F2P or not. If your team is mostly stable (let's say 90-95%+) and you're F2P, I'd stick with the slower runs. Raid is a huge drain on crystals. If you're not that stable, or if you're not F2P, you might do the R4 speed runs to get more drops overall, which then lets you grind and re-grind more runes and advance faster. Definitely a personal preference there, not that one is better than the other really
BJR4 is a thing :) Never heard of it for 1/2/3 because honestly you can use more or less any random 6 mons at those levels as long as you have tanks, sustain and damage.
small thing to add: If your using 4 front ( 6* Janssen , 5* or 6* colleen, lead , Dagora ) and 2 back ( Bale and Loren ) itll greatly reduce the needed ehp for booth loren and bale which makes it alot easier to rune. Downside is janseen has to be 6* and colleen atleast 5* ( if you dont got insane fight runes colleen has to be 6* too )
Yeah, 78k e.hp is supposed to be the minimum for that team. It was hard for me to recommend it in a video without having seen the team work at that level or tested it myself though :p
170k EHP for Jansen? Are You sure about that? :O One of the guides saying it's should be 130k :O That is when you put Coleen / Dagora / Leader / Jansen in front line.
Yeah the 4-monster frontline is newer, I think it came out at nearly the exact same time I did this video. I've never run it, so I cannot say specifically if 130k is dead on accurate, but I know some people do run it successfully :)
It all depends on the teams you're running with. Basically, that 5% attack won't make a difference most of the time, but if you're running with randoms or weak partners I suppose it could cause the occasional fail. I'd probably only use Cassandra with guildies and friends whose teams I know are built properly and strong enough, but with that said she should work perfectly fine :)
Effective HP is basically your ability to survive. I show how to find it in the optimizer in the video - if you don't have the optimizer there's also a link in the video description for more info :) Yeah will is necessary, because if Baleygr gets oblivion his passive is disabled and he won't stack knowledge
ROFLROFL.... that's hilarious :p FYI, in the monster tab of the optimizer, search out Bale, and hit the up arrow next to his name. The optimizer will boost him to 6* level 40, and then you can check for runes ;)
Since loren awakening buff is acc. Then she will fulfill the 15% acc.

Another tip is that you can farm the trash will runes from the scenario instead of crafting them. That way you get a specific slot too

The will runes prevent oblivion and slow debuffs on the first attack, either of which can cause fails :)

Unfortunately will is mandatory. If the boss lands oblivion than Bale won't stack. You don't have to use rage - anything that gets the damage is enough, but the will runes have to be there.

Shaina works, the problem is that her animations (s1/s2) aren't the same speed, so she causes mild de-synchronizing of the teams. It's not a huge deal, but it can slow the runs by about half a second and on really rare occasions cause a fail if the other teams' Janssens act before your Baleygr acts.
Also her base atk is higher than Loren but multipliers are low (S1 scales to boss hp status), so Loren's overall damage comes out about the same.

This is so confusing. What is effective hp and how do I figure it out without the optimiser. Also what is the optimiser. How is it linked to your sw account. I just want to know what stats they need and I'll figure it out without a stupid optimiser
Hi Tardis, I'm sorry it's confusing :( Effective HP is basically how tanky your monster is - it's the balance between HP and DEF combined. Without the optimizer, you'll need to figure it out with math, which can be more confusing:
* effective hp = hp*(1000+(Defense*3))/1000
- That formula needs your ACTUAL hp and defense. So to get those:
* base_hp + (base_hp * hp tower%) + hp_from_runes
* base_def + (base_def * def tower%) + def_from_runes

My fire turret is lvl 6 and my atk turret is lvl 7, i miss around 13% atk, because i was to lazy to make em lvl 10 in 3 years of playing. Got a question tho, my BJ hits around 30k do i get the 32.5k dmg mark with him after i maxed those? Hes pretty good runed and way over the minimum standards :)
if hes way over minimum standards then you should be hitting 32k...I have max cd tower level 5 atk level 5 spd tower and a level 5 hp tower. tested my bj5 yesterday and was hitting 32k sometimes even 33k. no fire atk yet, gonna work on it soon

U dont need 85k or 87k ehp for baleygr (which makes only baleygr harder to rune), if u run 4 frontline and 2 backline. If u do so, ur rune requirement is lower and u will need about 78k ehp (without max tower) for baleygr.
A few other commenters have mentioned this too. I'm sure it's correct, I've just never seen it done so it's harder for me to recommend it :p

Yes it means your Janssen is likely too slow, and he's being cut when the boss lands slow debuff. He should be +20 speed with max tower, so if the speed tower is not max add some more speed accordingly.
Hey xen can i get update on what mons in this need the artifacts thinking the loren and bale only cause others just die? also some of the speed boosting ones might mess stuff up thanks ? Im mid game ish and 1 off a max speed tower and my BJR5 somehow derps trying to fix and artifacts are definitely a thing these days.
Technically none 'need' artifacts. But they'll make the runing reqs easier for loren, bale and janssen. The other 3 should not have artis at all :)

Also note, if anyone uses rica lead (fire crit rate 38%), baleygr needs to have at least 62% crit rate, not 61% in order to achieve 100% crit. That way other team mate can do global attack lead
This is true :p Though rica leads are pretty rare so I wouldn't advice building to that spec unless you have a regular partner I think (it doesn't hurt to have the 62+ cr! as long as you're not trading off other, needed stats)

Heya..technically Shaina works, but her animations are not the same speed, so it can cause the rune to mildly de-sync. 99.9% of the time this is no big deal - it slows the run by about 0.5s when she uses her s2 is all. Once in a blue moon it could cause a fail if the other teams' Dagoras are not speed tuned properly.

Pretty much once you have speed teams for gb10 and db10, I'd start to do a little R3 or R4 if you can. Once you have a speed necro team I'd try to move to R4, or do more R3 if you can't do the R4. Then move to R5 once you can make a stable team, and move to BJR5 once you have strong enough runes (the BJR5 comes much later).

That team should work in DB10, though Lushen won't be reliable - in addition to his derps he has attribute disadvantage, so it may cause some fails :/. Raoqs are interesting in Necro. They can help you get a crazy good best time because of their RNG, but they can also cause a lot of fails because of their RNG. Overall you wouldn't be able to reliably break the shield with this team tho :/

Why do you say farm R3? Wouldn't it take just as long to get usable grinds from that as opposed to farming for actual runes?
IMO this is a misconception. R3 drops magic through legend grinds. Legend is ULTRA rare, so let's just say magic through hero, with the normal drop being rare. If you grind and re-grind runes until your rares hit max grinds (+6%), you're adding about 18% efficiency to your rune.
A rare rune that rolls so-so but has 3 grindable stats might be 72-75% efficiency. Add 18% to it, and it's now a 90%+ efficiency rune.
A legend rune that rolls pretty well might be 85-88% efficiency. With no grinds, it's not even as good as that rare rune - and you probably farmed hundreds, maybe thousands of dungeon runes to get that particular legend rune (trust me, a rune with good subs rolling 85%+ efficiency is CRAZY rare).
The main thing here is that obviously R5 is better - but using R3 to improve your current runes makes R5 reachable MUCH faster. I personally farmed R3 for a month solid, and then used my improved runes to go to R4 and (quickly after) R5. In the end, it sped up my game progression a ton :)
Thanks for another BJR5 video! I have met all requirements but teams I'm on often run at just under or at 28 seconds. Could this be because of the difference in attack animation between Shaina and Loren?
Yeah this is absolutely the reason. Shaina's animations have different times based on S1 and S2, which causes the BJR teams to mildly de-sync. It almost never causes the run to fail unless there are other problems with the team, but it does slow it down by about half a second.
This is the main reason we recommend using Loren - the faster and more consistent animations, but it helps to have all teams using the exact same monsters for synchronization (Loren's defense break is slightly more reliable too, and she has the atk bar pushback as derp protection).

Heya Mixrey, Colleen must be at about 25,000 effective HP which is roughly 10k hp and 500 def. I'm pretty sure you can accomplish those stats with a 6* colleen, her base stats are lower than that. Just gotta be able to get her enough speed while keeping the hp/def stats low (probably a speed slot 2 without hp/def subs, and then lots of mostly un-inscribed runes).
However, Janssen is mandatory for this team to work. And he should be in the front line with 170k+ effective hp unless your Bale and Loren are super tanky.

quick question, I'm wanting to replace Loren with a cd shaina, does shd require the same minimum stats as Loren?
So a couple of FYIs on this - Shaina's S1 scales to boss health and S2 has a low multiplier. Despite her higher base attack, Loren actually does more damage overall. Loren also tends to be a more reliable defense breaker. Most importantly, Shaina can cause runs to de-sync, slowing them by about half a second and in SUPER rare cases (1 in 100 or 1 in 200) the desync can cause fails. I strongly advise staying with Loren :)
Great video but I wish you added the version that puts colleen in the front line. Which cuts the effective hp off from 87k to 80k .

Not for bj5 - tho it helps a lot for solo r5 and a little for bjr5 since she has some activation rates in skillups iirc.

Heya Hnry, that's a really good question. Unfortunately i actually don't know the answer to it :( I'm not sure if many people do BJR3, because that boss is already pretty cleaveable with other monsters. Maybe I'm wrong? But I'd probably focus on BJR4. Set Colleen to 15k e.hp and record a few videos and watch the runs closely. Make sure she "safely" lives at the start and dies on the jump, and if not, go to 20k e.hp. It's likely going to be in that 15-20k range, since bjr5 is 25k :)

It may have been as simple as giving Loren extra damage, but it may be something more too. Honestly cannot remember now, it's been a long time using this team :/. If you need to have Loren go before Colleen for some reason, I'd just test it and watch it closely. If you're not failing, you're fine :)

You're very welcome Amr!!! I think it depends on how stable your R5 team is, and if you're F2P or not. If your team is mostly stable (let's say 90-95%+) and you're F2P, I'd stick with the slower runs. Raid is a huge drain on crystals. If you're not that stable, or if you're not F2P, you might do the R4 speed runs to get more drops overall, which then lets you grind and re-grind more runes and advance faster. Definitely a personal preference there, not that one is better than the other really

BJR4 is a thing :) Never heard of it for 1/2/3 because honestly you can use more or less any random 6 mons at those levels as long as you have tanks, sustain and damage.

No, Solo R5 uses three different teams (18 different mons)
note: my baleygr have +17 speed and i never lost a run because of me
so i dont think bale need to have 127+ speed

small thing to add:
If your using 4 front ( 6* Janssen , 5* or 6* colleen, lead , Dagora ) and 2 back ( Bale and Loren ) itll greatly reduce the needed ehp for booth loren and bale which makes it alot easier to rune.
Downside is janseen has to be 6* and colleen atleast 5* ( if you dont got insane fight runes colleen has to be 6* too )
Yeah, 78k e.hp is supposed to be the minimum for that team. It was hard for me to recommend it in a video without having seen the team work at that level or tested it myself though :p

Yeah the 4-monster frontline is newer, I think it came out at nearly the exact same time I did this video. I've never run it, so I cannot say specifically if 130k is dead on accurate, but I know some people do run it successfully :)

Any thoughts on using Cassandra's( fire magical archer) 35% atk(fire) as a lead skill?
It all depends on the teams you're running with. Basically, that 5% attack won't make a difference most of the time, but if you're running with randoms or weak partners I suppose it could cause the occasional fail. I'd probably only use Cassandra with guildies and friends whose teams I know are built properly and strong enough, but with that said she should work perfectly fine :)

It's 85k e.hp if Janssen is at 170k+ e.hp in FL, and Bale and Loren are in BL. However, I'd go to 87k e.hp to be safe

FYI, in the monster tab of the optimizer, search out Bale, and hit the up arrow next to his name. The optimizer will boost him to 6* level 40, and then you can check for runes ;)
