It's because the characters are so great, which is why even though I couldn't roll Diluc, I made a video on his lore! I'm really enjoying Genshin (and this video rocks!)
I like how Sucrose's back story is so different from the others than rather being filled with ups and downs with tons of social drama, it's just her being awkward and messing around with stuff. Either blowing stuff up or destroying it to get results. And I thought Fishl was quirky, but Sucrose is actually kind of entertaining in a way that is different then anyone else.
Albedo and Sucrose dynamic must be amazing, he seems to watch over her well-being somehow. When he saw her nearly collapse after the 5 day trials he send her on the mandatory vacation.

Ah yes, Sucrose. Probably the most underappreciated character. Don't get fooled by her cute appearance or her shy demeanor - she's a walking talking WMD. When she's in my party she has no shortage of hilichurl bones
The nature of being an Anemo Alchemist is pretty clever, no? The ability of Anemo "Swirl" is too spread and mix elements fits well with the job of an alchemist. The idea of "Freedom" lies within Sucrose's near unbreakable of her goals and unlimited amount of things to test with. Other than that, Venti might have just went with the most trolly way to give a vision.
That's one way she embodies her elemental abilities. Don't know if it's overly poetic but albedo follows suit in his stubborn curiosity to find an origin point of all life, what better start than the minerals his master used to create him.

They look a lot like Olaf's and Draff's. However, the Hunters have what look like Cat Ears. Sucrose seems to be a different kind. I hope we'll see a Township of her People one day.

I'm really into the lore of this game and its characters so I find this series very enjoyable. I've binge watched the rest of your "Origins of" vids and they're all amazing. Thank you for making these!
For some reason, I got it in my head she was a goat girl. I guess I thought the parts of the hat were her horns with the fluffy ears. The giant “butterfly thing” changing colors to the mixed element is rather pretty.
She’s certainly useful. I currently do not have her built out much, but am hoping to get her constellations from the Klee banner at which point I’ll try to put her to better use.
I failed to roll for venti as I wanted someone good enough for anemo and bam! Sucrose was rolled. I was surprised and excited to see what she could do. She’s very easy to use personally. I don’t see myself replacing her anytime soon hehe. She does pretty good for extra support. Barbara and Fischl are a powerhouse together rn and if I need a clearer path or extra strength I just switch to Sucrose and it’s all good lol
Keep these coming, I already enjoy the lore of the game and it's a blast getting characters to friendship 4 and seeing what they have to say about other characters, characters we haven't even met yet but have seen in or outside of the game like the 4 that are coming out in the 1.1 update plus Ganyu and Yaoyao and even places we don't know about yet, like Sucrose talking about Albedo, Jean talking about the dandelion knight title being from Venessa, and about how laid back Varka, the actual grand master, is. Jean even mentioned Khaenri'ah.
I very much enjoy this content and hope you make more of the characters lore. I'd love to see all of them at one point but please take your time with that! :D
She actually used to name every single fleeting anemo creature she summoned with her vision, but eventually got tired of coming up with names. It says so in her talents section.

From the second I started my adventure I knew that the story of the game and the whole lore of the world would capture not only me, but also many more. As I still need to read the books you find all over teyvat I'm really interested in what they will tell me, and what you might add to my own findings. I've been taking a break from genshin for a bit but before I left I pulled sucrose and used her in my team. Since my leave from genshin I've been researching just like her! But this time it is "Best Builds for Sucrose" Apon my research I found this video and it's nice to know more about her! I say that I have chosen a good person to Main!

Same.. I've read somewhere as well that at some point Diluc actually threw away his Vision and I didn't know you could do that, I thought Visions are innate. Kaeya brought Diluc's Vision back under the guise of a vase as a gift (check Diluc's mansion and there's a peculiar vase in there).

The part with Sucrose boiling her Animo Vision just to see what would happen just broke me. Seriously, her quarks really make her an awesome character truly likable. I bet if she found a horse, she’d probably try to turn it into a unicorn just to make the world a little more like the one her and her friends dreamt of. Be funny to see a whole field of unicorns with Sucrose in an alchemist tent billowing with strange smoke....
The fact that this video was the first time I noticed that Sucrose had cat ears just goes to show that she did a really good job hiding them in her hair.

She's a great character, i got her a few days ago(together with Jean!) and i like her playstyle and how cute she is :) she did make me wonder though, what are the races in Teyvat? couse there seems to be quite the variation so far, like what is Paimon and why have't we seen other like her?
Hopefully you make this for all characters it would really great. I am just so curious to know about Xingqei. He says he is from a old Guhua clan but what's that clan thing all about I was curious.
I certainly plan to cover them all! Answers to all such mysteries will be covered if possible for sure. I did encounter an NPC in Liyue that also claimed to be trained in the Old Guhua Arts. There’s more to that clan I just know it.
sucrose was the only character i had (other than lisa) that used a catalyst, so i gave her a shot and buffed her up to level 40. it payed off because she just wrecks shop when it comes to fighting groups!! severely underrated character
Sucrose is a one of a kind character. It seems her lore/story doesn't seem too dark compared to other characters out there. Not to hate the other ones but Sucrose's curiosity and analytic thinking makes her a good researcher.
This is an amazing video. I love this, and your Fischl lore. I'd planned on saving my gems for Xiao or Zhong Li banners, but I may have to try a couple of rolls just to get Sucrose :) Can't wait to see more of these!
honestly her extreme hyperfocus and her stress when her task isn’t completed sounds kinda like ocd where her obsession is knowing about everything around her and everything she’s heard of like the fact that she gets stressed not knowing about a thing sounds to me a lot like the obsessive completion of the compulsion to know and perfect her knowledge of life she’d go to unhealthy lengths to do this too idk as someone with ocd while o can’t relate to this obsession in particular it does in a way sound like ocd

I got her and was wondering if I should level her up or not.. She appears to be weak but that is just appearances and she can turn out to be actually powerful.

I really like your videos and enjoy hearing people talk about this game. From the second I started my adventure I knew that the story of the game and the whole lore of the world would capture not only me, but also many more. As I still need to read the books you find all over teyvat I'm really interested in what they will tell me, and what you might add to my own findings.
With all that said I wanted to ask you if there is any way to add subtitles to your videos, as I want to share them with my german speaking friends but their english isnt all that good.

I've been taking a break from genshin for a bit but before I left I pulled sucrose and used her in my team. Since my leave from genshin I've been researching just like her! @@TeyvatHistoria Agreed! Especially because I just unlocked Noelle's 4th(?) level dialogue, and her "About vision" says she was surprised she ended up with geo as her element. I saw somewhere that Mona says something about an "old woman" that gave her her's... maybe the hydro archon, perhaps? Or can you pass them along?
Same.. I've read somewhere as well that at some point Diluc actually threw away his Vision and I didn't know you could do that, I thought Visions are innate. Kaeya brought Diluc's Vision back under the guise of a vase as a gift (check Diluc's mansion and there's a peculiar vase in there).

The part with Sucrose boiling her Animo Vision just to see what would happen just broke me. Seriously, her quarks really make her an awesome character truly likable. I bet if she found a horse, she’d probably try to turn it into a unicorn just to make the world a little more like the one her and her friends dreamt of. Be funny to see a whole field of unicorns with Sucrose in an alchemist tent billowing with strange smoke....
I would’ve thought sucrose would’ve gotten a drengo vision…

she did make me wonder though, what are the races in Teyvat? couse there seems to be quite the variation so far, like what is Paimon and why have't we seen other like her?
I do suspect Paimon is not native to Teyvat... but her background is not really explored at all this far.

I did encounter an NPC in Liyue that also claimed to be trained in the Old Guhua Arts. There’s more to that clan I just know it.

sucrose was the only character i had (other than lisa) that used a catalyst, so i gave her a shot and buffed her up to level 40. it payed off because she just wrecks shop when it comes to fighting groups!! severely underrated character

Sucrose is a one of a kind character. It seems her lore/story doesn't seem too dark compared to other characters out there. Not to hate the other ones but Sucrose's curiosity and analytic thinking makes her a good researcher.
This is an amazing video. I love this, and your Fischl lore. I'd planned on saving my gems for Xiao or Zhong Li banners, but I may have to try a couple of rolls just to get Sucrose :)

honestly her extreme hyperfocus and her stress when her task isn’t completed sounds kinda like ocd where her obsession is knowing about everything around her and everything she’s heard of like the fact that she gets stressed not knowing about a thing sounds to me a lot like the obsessive completion of the compulsion to know and perfect her knowledge of life
she’d go to unhealthy lengths to do this too
idk as someone with ocd while o can’t relate to this obsession in particular it does in a way sound like ocd
