Jimmy was a visionary, he knew what he wanted and how to make it happen. Excellent guitarist, competent producer, composer who knew how to touch hearts and souls. A true craftsman of music, he wove an intricate web of emotions that captured us… and after listening to him, we would never be the same again 🎵🎸❤

The very first notes I ever heard from Led Zeppelin was in October of 1969 with LZ II's Heartbreaker, listening with a pair of Koss Over-The-Ear Headphones to the RL LP.
The opening riff was so intense to my 14 year old ears, that I started on the other side with WLL, and with that side finished, I was ready for Heartbreaker.
After listening to HB, I was all in, 100% into LZ as my favorite band. And that remained through the 70's and beyond.

King of riffs and king of studio production......the best of all time by that standard. And let's be clear...Zep was Page's band. He was first among equals.

Jimmy Page had so many great riffs it’s crazy just to try and quantify them all. We all have our favorites of course and that’s what makes them so special. I would like to say something about Jimmy as a producer, the recording quality of the Led Zeppelin albums is amazing and the mixing impeccable. Everything just sounds so good especially Bonhams drums which I think actually adds to his legacy because when you hear him on the albums they just sound so good. But it doesn’t end there, to Jimmy’s guitar and JPJs bass to Robert’s vocals. Just simply amazing.

*"The Rover"* was not included on any of the Official Hits compilations. But it's one of the best Hard Rock riffs in the Zeppelin catalog. Also TSRTS riff. What a great opener for the '77 Tour.

*"Kashmir" live* was the ultimate live LZ song. The Pinnacle. The 2007 O2 version, the audio dynamics and quality, mostly closely mirror the power and the glory of the live song I personally experienced in 1977.

I was raised on Zeppelin. I especially like Rain song & ten years gone are my favorites. I can play both fairly well, but only for my personal satisfaction, though. Zep's entire catalog clearly shows that 70s rock is the best! The were all musical virtuosos, which cant be said about todays musicians. I guess the latest tech isn't always a good thing like tone correction on vocals.

Unfortunately the lives picked for this video weren’t the best, or it was your sound quality. Page always had the greatest riffs, then when you add in his playing the rest of the songs, always magic. He would also during live performances, come up with amazing improvisations, that each song was different each night playing what he was feeling. These MUSIC GODS, were all pure geniuses, & no other bands even come close.

Favorites, just focussing on the guitar (electric) playing: Dazed & Confused, How Many More Times, Whole Lotta Love, Immigrant Song, Stairway to Heaven, When the Levee Breaks, The Ocean, Custard Pie, The Rover.
