One of the Greatest Talent of cricket who did not reach and make use of his full potential is Carl Hooper, Never seen a spinner bowling beautiful yorkers like that before him. His play and class is so effortless, his lofting shots are his signature strokes.👍👍
I was a biggest fan of Carl Hooper a smart and Intelligent batsman amore than a useful off spin bowler and also an excellent Slip Fielder my personal choice of his best match Odi innings is the one at gabba 110* vs aus chasing 282 lara also scored 102 but the shots he displayedwere just awesome some effortless sixes even overshadowed LARA in that innings amatch winning knock
2:12 Carl Hooper shots were like Miss World Beauty pageant: elegant and breathtaking!! I still believe what set him back was not average, but the flawless 277 runs of B.C. Lara's maiden test century, and he (Carl) didn't SACRIFICED his wicket to see Lara through to his first triple and probably the world record! Hooper was responsible for a lot of suicide run-outs that infected Sarwan and was like Inzamam with run-outs.
Ah, Carl Hooper! 🏏 The West Indies legend who lit up cricket pitches with his exceptional all-round skills. 🤩 Hooper's career was indeed decorated, and it's fascinating to hear about his performances in Australia, which is known for its challenging and competitive cricketing conditions. I imagine his efforts with both bat and ball must have been quite impressive if they're still being talked about to this day. It's always exciting to look back at the greatness of legends like Carl Hooper, especially when they're in top form and playing at their best.
That ball to wasim Akram , a fast bowler stuff from a spinner ...Shame moment for batsman ...His movements were thorougly studied and a great delivery was delivered
CG definitely must have had adored or must have had followed his playing style while bowling but ended up creating an original & genre of himself in the end. Wow its really really difficult for the likes of me to believe that these amazing day's & players got retired & are no more on the screen & all just had started to dissapear since the year 2003 & then 2011 WC was the final & ending.
Not totally,though...Lahore 90,Nagpur 94,02 home series against India,97 Pakistan,96-97 Australia...94 to 02,in ODI...over 100 sixes.Regularly took wickets of Border,Miandad and M.Waugh.
@@ravi1753-c6z Carl Hooper was good enough to average 45 + with the bat and maybe 35 or so with the ball. And he was an exceptional slip fielder. But he didn't come close to fulfilling his talent.

He was simply the coolest and one marvelous player which this superb game had ever seen.
He was some player, had that cool swag to it...Loved to see him play.

He was one of my favourite. Great to watch!
most underrated player of 90's
Master of inside out shot. Cool Hooper.
Amazing timing and excellent weight transfer .On his day bowlers will have to bite the dust..
The Windies one-day outfit in the early 90s was straight🔥

Imagine how much Carl would be worth in the T20 era…excellent with the bat, economical bowler and outstanding fielder,
I had to watch the throw for the run out twice - what a throw!

Carl had the most beautiful, smoothest mechanics of any cricketer I've watched. Jacques Kallis being a close 2nd.
Mr cool Carl Hoper classes player❤
Same kind of cool swagger as Sir Viv
Hooper giving Waqar a taste of his own medicine 1:11
I seen him taken so many wickets casually without any reaction fine batsman too
Very talented player
Just too cool
Irony is when both Wasim and Waqar were yorked🤣
And by a spinner
good observation bro .. one who lives by the sword dies by the sword 😄
back in the day when you wore no helmet facing lillee
yeah, you don't see batsmen face fast bowlers in international cricket without helmets these days.
Yes, because it is stupid to do so!
All-time favorite kalu dada
Thats racist bro.
Who's after lara said him the best talent?
I came from that article
I love it when he hits sixes

Cool Composed Carl ❤

A nightmare for bowlers.

Lara was right!
These bigger ground was easier to score boundries tbh such wide gaps today's batter would have done good enough just like past ones
Ol
My man's so lazy 🦥
Why this music ! Ruins vintage commentary. Please Cricket Australia 🙏
What a waste of talent!!
What a tragedy for cricket!

Agreed. On his day as good a batsman as has played the game. The very definition of mercurial.
