Those stepper motors are like the capstan motors in VCR machines maybe they use the same connections so might be worth saving and using for something in the future.

Those are probably 24v BLDC motors with the driver IC's. Just need need to apply 24 V and some controls signals and they should start up. I did some experiments with motors like that a while back. I still need to spin up the high speed laser scanner motors.
